IMO it would be naive to think Trump doesn’t sense this and to think he isn’t at some level ready to parry it.
Oh, it is a coordinated offensive.
The MSM, GOPE and the Rove planted “candidates” plan to hit Trump with a perfect storm of ads, criticism and negative “news”.
I think Trump will weather it. You don’t get to his level of success by losing your head.
There is a problem for the GOPE. If this doesn’t work they have shot their load and will not only be out of ammunition, but they will have made Donald Trump unbeatable in the primary.
They run the risk of losing support for JEB and his backups because they will have shown themselves to be ineffective and weak.
I would not want to be Prince Priebus or the coward Rove if Trump survives their offensive.
That man plays *hard* hardball.
Even if they win the short term goal of defeating Trump, they run the risk of forever losing a part of their base.
I don’t think they care at this point.
I don’t think they realise how po’ed we the people are.

It's been Trump Takedown Day every day for several weeks now. Didn't the author watch the first debate? Every Fox News program has been filled with "Trump's the unlikely candidate", or "Trump's surge will soon fade", or "Trump has a problem with women", etc.
Every Fox program has devoted top billing to the "Trump slam on Carly" remark in Rolling Stone mag... every single day since last week. They all play her ad (for free) and try to convince us that Trump hates women.
I agree, under the best conditions these “debates” are just an out of control media mess. This one looks to be a complete ambush, just hope that it blows up in all of their faces.
You're right, of course. I think he absolutely lives for this kind of stuff!
The point is, once you’ve made your choice, you fight to win. Those of us supporting Trump have determined he’s the best choice by a large margin. We’ve seen his flaws, addressed them and come to terms with them. We know he’s not perfect and we also know none of the other candidates are either. But we have determined, all in all, he is the best candidate, by far. Now it’s time to win, which means you don’t allow essentially trivial criticisms of Trump to derail you from supporting a candidate you believe will is the best choice, and who inarguabley has the GOPe back on their heels.
Of all the self destructive things the GOP does that causes it to lose elections an organized and approved attempt at a Trump take-down would be the most destructive ever.
Do they think people who now find Trump’s messages appealing will turn to one of the establishment candidates?
If so they are sadly mistaken.
The voters would be even more bitter at the GOP and would turn to someone like Ben Carson or just stay home on election day.
Best to let nature take its course.
Let the primary election process play out without attempts to manipulate the players or the state primaries.

Because I know Washington and the court system. He may make big promises but he won't be able to deliver. All of his promises have to go through congress. Unless of course you are voting for dictatorship.

Some of us Cruz supporters have not conceded prior to any caucus or primary. Just because a guy has 30% of the Republican support in the September the year before the election doesn't mean we should roll over. Hillary had 40 to 50 in September 2007.

The only one that can bring The Donald down are the Citizens AFTER The Donald tells them to go away. He has consumed their thought patterns and nothing else anyone says matters.
But I am not sure it is Conservatism we speak of. I believe it is just another form of Big Government that is being offered. How else can The Donald fix everything so fast? Where will all the money come from?

I’m of the opinion that Mr. Trump should challenge every one of his fellow candidates in the next “debate” to pledge their support of him should he be the party’s nominee. Let’s see how many say yes.
