I too think you’d have to be crazy to own a BMW.

A hundred and fifty bucks to change a tail light? My a*s!

Thanks for the rest-of-the-story 2nd link.
He claim can’t entirely right if her name was on the 2003 BMW registration, and car insurance.
Likely the NYPD is gonna cost the City a significant settlement.

“Brock — an eccentric 32-year-old born in Jamaica with dreams of making it big in the entertainment business — admitted in an interview she was “emotional,” but insisted she in no way is an “emotionally disturbed person.”

Kam Brock’s frightening eight-day “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” ordeal at the mental facility

New York, New York, it's a hell of a town(I know, it was Long Island), here in California a 5150 is only good for a 72 hour hold.

The state has the power (but not the right) to throw someone in the nut house. This power is being misused.

Really strange resemblance to an article earlier this year.

EXCLUSIVE: L.I. woman says psych ward doctors believed she was delusional for insisting Obama follows her on Twitter
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/exclusive-woman-held-psych-ward-obama-twitter-claim-article-1.2159049

A Long Island woman’s insistence that President Obama follows her on Twitter made doctors at the Harlem Hospital psych ward think she was delusional and suffering from bipolar disorder — but she was actually telling the truth, a lawsuit charges.

Kam Brock’s frightening eight-day “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” ordeal at the mental facility included forced injections of powerful sedatives and demands she down doses of lithium, medical records obtained through her suit filed in Manhattan Federal Court show.

They also indicate that doctors didn’t believe the leader of the free world followed her on Twitter — though @BarackObama follows over 640,000 accounts, including hers. They were also skeptical she worked at a bank, records show.

“I told (the doctor) Obama follows me on Twitter to show her the type of person I am. I’m a good person, a positive person. Obama follows positive people!” Brock, whose Twitter handle is @AkilahBrock, said.

The cops had no evidence that she worked for a governmental entity so their assumption she had no right to be in a BMW was rationally based.

Last September, Brock’s BMW was impounded by the NYPD because they thought she was high on marijuana, according to the New York Daily News.

Barack Obama actually doesn’t follow Brock on Twitter.

You see, @BarackObama isn’t Barack Obama. It’s Organizing For Action, the non-profit formed out of the remains of Obama’s 2012 campaign. OFA leases the Twitter account from the president’s campaign (which still exists as a legal entity). The organization uses the account clearly so that people will make the same assumption that Brock did, that it’s the voice of Barack Obama. And when a Barack Obama supporter sees a tweet from @BarackObama asking them to give money to OFA, they’re a lot more likely to do so than if they see a tweet from @OFA, the organization’s official (and much-less-followed) account.

In fact, there’s no way in which Obama could follow Brock on Twitter for the simple fact that Obama doesn’t use Twitter. In his interview with the Huffington Post, Obama admitted that he’s not on Twitter and then critiqued the vibe of the social media tool as “everything’s a crisis, everything is terrible, everything is doomsday, everything is — if it doesn’t get solved tomorrow, you know, your presidency is going off the rails.”

She was from Long Island but she was in Harlem. She was driving a BMW and was dancing to her car radio when she caught the attention of a police officer.

He books her for driving without her hands on the wheel.

The next day she goes to get her car. They don’t believe she owns a BMW.

She gets sent for a psych evaluation. They don’t believe she owns a BMW. They don’t believe she is a bank executive. They don’t believe the President follows her on Twitter.

Hmmmm. Could she be black?

What do you know, there is still a lot of racism, and it infects the liberal urban strongholds more than the south.

There must be more to this story than is being told. If she’s holding her driver’s license with her picture on it in one hand and her insurance card and pink slip in the other hand, then what’s not to believe?

“...the bank executive ...”

No. She was a trainee to get a “personal banker license” at Astoria Bank. I cannot find out if she still works there, but she had worked at a couple of other banks.

“Kam Brock, 32, who is also known by her rapper stage name Akilah Brock...”

I’m curious as to why her license didn’t match up with her registration and insurance, if the cops checked that at all.

There’s something fishy on both sides, I think.

There has to be more to this story then what I have read in these accounts.
No family looking for her or trying to get her out? What about her job? Says she is a banker. No one there wondered where she was tried to find her etc?
Seems to be an awful lot missing from these articles.......

This happens far to often when the police organization can not hold you for a crime they thought you did. The psychiatric system becomes an easy fill-in for this purpose. It is a system (white supremacy - criminal and mental “health”) designed to break you without being accused for responsibility, which the average person see’s as a personal decision. But it affects everyone! When these police saw this black woman dancing in her BMW, they felt society gave them a bad deal. As white men, in their minds, no black person should be allowed to live better then themselves. If it should happen, these individuals (accomplished black folks) must be dealt with and it is not with kind gloves - more like an IRON fist! Regardless of what people believe, New York City is a very racist place. How do you think they are able to keep 8.2 million people under their grip? Systematic control. Systematic control can be acquire in many different ways. But the most common is through the actions that was taken against this woman.
