Trump hammers "this sanctuary cities crap" and jokes about replacing Obamacare (Shortened)

Donald Trump spoke for 90 minutes to a crowd estimated at 20,000 on Monday night in Dallas, railing against 'this sanctuary cities crap' and joking that after he presided over the demise of Obamacare, the insurance scheme's replacement might bear his name. 'We'll go with "DonaldCare",' he said near the end of what became the longest single campaign speech of any candidate vying for the presidency in 2016, after a man in a raucous and riled-up audience called out the imaginary name for an as-yet imaginary new national health care initiative.

Do you support the elimination of the NLRB and the end of government unionism?

DonaldCare came from someone in the crowd and he laughed and said he never thought of that. More Establishmedia tripe.

I see Donald Trump more as one who can go to work to “clean house” and make it possible in the future for a Sen.Cruz to step in.

Every speech is a revised stump speech with Trump.

He’s got 80% the same message and anecdotes in every speech, but it’s always 20% updated and improvised in a way that makes each one seem like a frank and fresh conversation (along with newsy tidbits for the press), rather than a canned tirade.

I did see that he had a page of one-line notes.

Yes, he has always had a page of notes. Rush has commented on his approach, which is how Rush does it. Notes to make sure no items you want covered are missed in the talk. You will note he referred to the specific numbers on the U.S. trade imbalance with China, Japan and Mexico. It was an extemporaneous 90 minute journey over the political landscape. I was pleasantly surprised that there was considerable new material in the speech. A good speaker will not speak from a written script, it has to be extemporaneous or you lose your audience and you come across as stiff and impersonal. A relaxed, natural, personal conversation with your audience is what you strive for. Of course with Rush and Trump it is always high energy.

I agree, he sounds more then a little petty. I wish he would elevate his rhetoric. If he does, he is unstoppable.

Donald, tell us why America is EXCEPTIONAL.

Donald, tell us why the American Dream is so important, and why it still lives.

Donald, tell us why Liberty, not equality is the hallmark of America.

Donald, tell us why the private sector economy is our life blood, not the government.

Donald, tell us why America is Great! What is your vision for the Greatness of America.

I yearn to hear this, more then I care to hear clever slap downs of your foes.

He has always had the notes, but rarely uses them.

“I did see that he had a page of one-line notes. I’ve never seen that before.”

Trump’s memory is slipping. Next he’ll be using a teleprompter and then slip into full fledged dementia.

A demented Trump is 100% better than a fully capable Obama . . . or Bush.

It’s apparent you aren’t listening. He will once again strengthen and build up our military, take care of of vets, bring jobs back to America, build a wall - and etc., etc., etc. You must be dense to miss this. It’s apparent he isn’t your candidate, so , let’s hear the answers to these questions you demand from YOUR candidate - I guess that isn’t feasible because most of them talk in platitudes.

Talking points. He likely realizes time gets away, too quickly, in these gatherings.

Wants to be sure and touch on ALL of his great points/policies. Tightening up the process.

Oh, I know. I’d just never seen him even use notes before. Becoming more disciplined.

Dude or Dudette, You are unnecessarily hostile without any redeeming qualities. You make insulting comments and assumptions about me and my positions, that have no basis in reality.

So I will not attempt to engage you in a rational discussion, but simply get down in the mud with your fat stupid ass and say “GET OFF MY LAWN ASSHOLE! It must suck to be you!

That was an elucidating back and forth. Of course you won't get an answer to your question(s), but that doesn't meant we don't know the answer. He's a unionista, plain and simple, which explains his economic illiteracy, banal platitudes, and his constant demands that the government pick winners and losers in our economy. Big government conservatives are all the same.

What amuses me no end are the TV pundits after a Trump speech.

They tie themselves into pretzels trying to turn the Donald lemonade into a lemon.

Megyn and her regular Fox fanboys, (even Greta with Fiorina), as well as every CNN/PMSNBC pundit and panel are doing their damndest to promote losers Fiorino and Carson both of whom are the current hopes of the media-e to topple Trump because of their so-called recent "surges". Both will soon be left in the dust.

Every day, these floundering, sinking pundits either keep repeating themselves with a million theories of how Trump will tank.... or they keep thinking up new, desperate, bizarre anti-Trump straws to cling to as they fight to keep from drowning in the deluge of the tsunami that is Donald Trump.

He had notes, OMG! One hour and ten minute speech.. I’d like to see somebody cover all the points they wanted to makes without at least some notes.

Nice summary of the media know-it-alls.

I like Greta, but she falls for nearly every female politician who's the least bit leaning right. I've seen enough of Carly to know she ain't it.
