California Gov. Jerry Brown schools Ben Carson on climate change
MSNBC ^ | 9/12/15 | Adam Howard

Dr. Ben Carson has spent most of his professional career as a man of science, which is why the Republican presidential candidate’s recent remarks on climate change have been puzzling to many.

In a recent interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, the neurosurgeon claimed “I know there are a lot of people who say ‘overwhelming science,’ but then when you ask them to show the overwhelming science, they never can show it. There is no overwhelming science that the things that are going on are man-caused and not naturally caused.” The comment soon drew a rebuke from Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown.

Brown sent Carson a copy of the widely distributed United Nations 2014 report on the science behind global warming, along with a typed letter urging him to read it. “Please use your considerable intelligence to review this material,” Brown wrote in the letter. “Climate change is much bigger than partisan politics.”

Dr. Ben Carson has spent most of his professional career as a man of science...

And Moonbeam hasn't.

Moonbeam spent a lifetime tripping on the products of science.

After reading the United Nation’s 2014 report on the science behind global warming, I wonder what Dr. Ben Carson’s opinion is of it? The MSNBC piece by Libloather did not have any report to that question.

So a libtard who would find simple algebra akin to calculus on manifolds wants to teach a physician about things scientific?

Why, that would be almost like someone who never had a real job trying to be a president.

No, wait......

Would you let Moonbeam operate on your brain?

"Would you let Moonbeam operate on your brain?"

That's right up there with "would you give the presidency to comrade obama," but there were enough salivating drones to do it which explains the quick demise of America.

Hairy Jerry isn't qualified to lecture Carson on anything unless it's how to screw the taxpayer.

It sure is Gov. Moonbeam.

It is big business, big money, big tax subsidies, and big kickbacks to the Democrat Party.

Can’t let some nobody like Carson upset our applecart so you just shut up Ben.

Dear Moonbeam, please struggle with your limited brain power to try and grok this...

No smoking hot spot

1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.

Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.

If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.

Moonbeam is the American equivalent of Lysenko, one of life’s greatest losers. Fortunately, Lysenko only ruined Soviet science, not a major American state.

That was left to the commies and crazies of California to do, led by Dr. Strangelove Brown and his band of idiots.

Hey, maybe in the end, Lysenkoism did win out in California.

So sad. So Soviet!

Brown commits a rhetorical fallacy. The IPCC report is not science, it is a summary conclusion prepared from a survey of scientific research for policy decision making. Interestingly the term "medium confidence" is used throughout the document to describe the certainty of the evidence. If the evidence is true, the report says, it is very likely global warming is anthropogenic in origin. So according to the report, there is a medium confidence the evidence is true. What does "medium confidence" mean? In the footnote: "about as likely as not".

Brown commits the fallacy of "appeal to authority", he is "-splaining"

So all of the California mindless policies and laws dealing with global "warming" are based on this questionable UN report?

Is Brown aware that satellite data provide far more earth temperature data than the relatively few ground stations? Satellites provide complete ground and ocean coverage. There has been no global warming for the past 18 years.

Brown is demonstrating his ignorance and lack of scientific understanding, to demand that Carson read a flawed document.

Brown is an idiot, but unfortunately far from a harmless one. What he and his compatriots have done to California is just criminal. How do we get such people as Brown and Obama and the-list-goes-on as leaders? It must be something in human nature and history repeating itself that causes this phenomenon.

Jerry Brown can only “school” someone on how to f*** up one of the (formerly) greatest states in America in just a few short decades. The Golden State, now the Geriatric Drug-Addled Communist People’s Gulag of Mejico Norte.
