Uh Oh… Looks Like Ben Carson is Openly Embracing Amnesty

I like Ben Carson. A lot. But he isn’t without flawed positions.

His 2nd Amendment misstep a few years ago is one he’s somewhat redeemed himself for. But when it comes to his support of amnesty, this one is current and he’s going to have a difficult time backtracking.

In fact, Ben Carson’s position on dealing with what is now probably closer to 20 million illegal immigrants is really no different than that of Jeb Bush. I know some Carson fans are going to hate me for saying this, but Ben Carson is openly declaring he’s for amnesty.

For starters, when asked about deportation, Carson said “many of them have never known any other country … so where are you going to send them?”

Well, my question is… why is that our problem? They have a home country of origin. That’s where they need to go. This is not their country!

Then Carson said we must “provide them a way so that they don’t have to hide in the shadows” and “give them an opportunity to become guest-workers–they have to register, they have to enroll in a back tax program.”

Let’s not pretend this is something that it’s not. It’s amnesty. It’s almost exactly what Jeb Bush wants.

And that’s a shame.

H/T: Breitbart.

Hopefully this will tank him.

It is a shame. Even my mom with soft slightly “moderate” tendencies worries that he wouldn’t be strong enough to be president. It is the Doctor thing.

Polls this far out are intended to attract readers for advertisers, not be accurate. Nobody votes for months.

With someone the quality of Ted Cruz, I can’t believe anyone conservative is considering anyone else. Just sayin...

“–they have to register, they have to enroll in a back tax program.”

By mentioning “back taxes”, that convinces me that Carson is TOTALLY CONTROLLED, at this point, by the Republican Leadership, at least on immigration...which is all that matters. It is a bizarre concept to bring out of the blue for someone that has been removed from politics for most of his adult life - that is unless you’re reading talking points provided by others.

The idea of paying “back taxes” must have come out of Republican focus groups a decade ago. I mean does anyone SERIOUSLY think that the IRS will be able to ever prove how much income people had when they were almost always paid in cash? But I guess Frank Luntz determined that the idea of “Sticking it to the Illegals” regarding taxes played well with Republican voters...because they keep using it.

Like it or not, Carson is simply NOT WITH US when it comes to Amnesty and probably all other facets of Immigration. He may be able to deliver a joke, and he could give us bragging rights in that our black (Carson) is better than your black (Obama), nanananananana, but he is not what this country needs, not now.

“I can’t figure why Carson is doing so well in the polls.”

See my post above...he’s a better black than they have and he can deliver a joke.

As with every candidate, except Donald Trump, you have to look at Ben Carson's advisers and donors. Ben's long time financial adviser has been Armstrong Williams.

That is what makes me nervous about how Trump talks about the Bible. It just doesn’t seem genuine. It is like a salesman trying to sell to what he thinks are stupid people.

It is probably just a feeling. I hope it really is his favorite book.

because he is a brilliant man light years beyond the others or for that matter almost all office holders in DC

he is endowed with an immense reserve of street smarts and common sense

Too many project what they want their selectee to be, not what their selectee actually is.

For many political bandwagons, 10 minutes of google search reveals a lot of history.

In the Top-of-the-Poll Headline News: Trump continues to lead, while the media and Jeb Bush alliances urgently work to push non-vulgarian Ben Carson into the #1 spot.

They RNC/GOPe (Wall Street interests et al) need a visible and statistical result so they can drum beat the “Donald Trump has peaked and is now slipping” message. They are urgently looking for a POLL RESULT they can sell as a ‘see-toldyaso’ breaking news alert. Carson in Iowa is their best hope at creating that narrative/optic.

You ever ask yourself, “why?” If he is so good, which I don’t dispute he is, why he isn’t polling better? I know it’s early and pre-primary polls don’t matter, and heck, for that matter, polls can be really wrong (England PM, 2012 Pressidential race), but, still, why is he not polling better? Even in Texas? Polls can be created any way, but they still at least give a pulse check.

Carson also invoked the 'jobs Americans won't do' mantra, instead of relying on FACTS:

I will never again vote for anyone to be President who will not enforce the laws on fraudulently documented foreigners.

What they are telling us is that laws are for citizens and suckers....

“Back taxes”, “Pay a fine”, “Learn English”, “Go to the back of the line”

Those are buzz phrases the amnesty pushers use to hoodwink the public.

Oh, and “secure the border” ... Yeah, right.

Carson has taken the consistent position of conservatives/ libertarians/ capitalists/ corporatists/ Evangelicals/ Catholics/ Republicans pre-2002.

In the historical sense of the word, the anti-illegal position based on Malthusian-Guttmacher premises is not conservative.
