Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said that while it was too bad Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis was put in jail over her refusal to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples, people have to abide by the Supreme Court's ruling on the matter.
"Well, you know, she was released and that was good, and it was too bad that she had to be put in jail, and I'm a very, very strong believer in Christianity and religion, but I will say that this was not the right job for her," Mr. Trump said on Tuesday evening's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News. ...

I expect people to disagree with my posts at times, and I don’t mind that they tell me. I do that myself, but I get cranky at personal attacks. I have noticed I can be mistaken, but I don’t make stuff up.

You know, before reading Cruz's book, I'd never had a first-hand account of how open and in-your-face the GOPe is with its new members in Washington. They laugh with each other about pulling one over on the idiots back home. It really is enough to make a person rage.
No, same problem, health issues. Hubby is still riding though at 79 and this summer I rescued a 20+ app mare, lame and partially blind and not registered but sweet as can be - comes to see me every time I go out. And I can look out the window and see her grazing. :)

Trump’s right on this. The First Amendment doesn’t generally extend to government employees. You have a constitutional right to your rekigious beliefs but you don’t have a constitutional right to a government job.

I’m a practicing Catholic and granting annulments by tribunals are few and far between, so that would mean I could deny any divorced person to remarry without an annulment from a catholic tribunal? that would be my conscience right? right?
