Why Do I Support Donald Trump….
Te Conservative Treehouse ^ | 9/4/15 | Sundance

… because he says: “Make America Great Again”! And when Trump says that I hear:

Someone who gives a damn about America, without apology; which is more valuable to me than a perfected highly-rehearsed skill set of 30 second sound bites and white paper policy instructions. From my perspective any average hard-working American could eat every one of these pinky ring candidates’ lunches, all of them; and if they want to go down the intellectual superiority path. That stuff is useless.

I agree with the exceptional part, but what about Trump’s love of big-government solutions to our supposed problems He’s no different from GWB in that respect.

Because I’m gullible and have convinced myself that just because he’s a fighter (even though for all of his life up until 6months ago all he ever fought for was Everything liberal) he’s still my guy?

There is hope that Trump could confer with the RIGHT people and cowboy up on the reduction of the US Gov't.

The US Gov't is going to have a Heart Attack if it doesn't eat less and exercise more. And learn to leave others alone.

Supports Trump because of his slogan “Make America Great again”.

*************

Respect Donald and most of his supporters- but supporting a candidate because of a slogan? My, my.

Heb is that you with the big government rhetoric? I haven’t heard Trump say a darned thing about government being all in all. In fact, I think if you look at his record he is very frugal in his business endeavors. I suspect he will be the same as POTUS.

Count me out. The man thinks obviously immoral, unconstitutional judicial decrees are the law of the land. That is a disqualifier. The judicial supremacist lie is the most destructive fallacy there is. It’s destroying our free republic.

That is my hope. Cruz and Palin would be my top choices for two of the RIGHT people.

All businesses have to keep cost reasonable in order to survive. Since he has been in business all of these years I am sure he knows how to do it. Palin, Cruz, and other conservatives can suggest where.

He has had several very conservative views since at least 2011 including illegal immigration, a strong military, getting tough on crime, cutting welfare.

Maybe not as much as we would like but definitely a good start.

Can you tell me what any of the others have done about it?

Have the Senators proposed any bills? Have the Governors taken any measures in their states?

I’m not sure what you think Trump can do about it at this stage.

What big government solutions has he proposed?

He has favored an Obamacare form of healthcare. He has favored the Kelo decision. He has stated he is more of a Democrat than Republican. But I know. He said those things when he wasn't running. Now he is telling what he really thinks because he has skin in the game. If I need to keep my friends close and my enemies closer, Trump would be sleeping with me.

Count me out. The man thinks obviously immoral, unconstitutional judicial decrees are the law of the land. That is a disqualifier. The judicial supremacist lie is the most destructive fallacy there is. It’s destroying our free republic.

Referring to

Washington (CNN)Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Friday that he wished a Kentucky county clerk, Kim Davis, was not jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, but he added that the Supreme Court has ruled and it is "the law of the land."

And as i have said, by that rationale one could say he wished Christians were not killed for refusing to convert to Islam, but that it is "the law of the land." Not much hope for Trump being a strong social conservative, or a real Christian. I think this shows one of the weaknesses of Trump, that of a morality that lacks a solid theological basis. Which is why he has shifted on abortion, and is weak against the sodomitic agenda, .

As far back as 2000, Trump was advocating the idea of amending the 1964 Civil Rights Act to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation

In the same interview, Trump said he favored “a very strong domestic-partnership law” that guaranteed same-sex couples equal legal rights as married, heterosexual couples. Trump also said he believed Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – the military’s then-ban on openly gay service members – had “clearly failed.”

In his 2000 book, “The America That We Deserve,” Trump outlined his dream of a nation “unencumbered by...discrimination against people based on sexual orientation.” Eleven years later, Trump told CBN’s “The Brody File” that gay people were “tremendous” and that “there can be no discrimination against gays.”

Despite that record of supporting nondiscrimination protections for gay people, however, Trump has angered many LGBT advocates with his consistent opposition to marriage equality and relative silence on transgender rights. - http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/donald-trump-2016s-most-lgbt-friendly-republican

Those of us a little stressed out by supporting Trump, this might help. I thought it was so funny.
