Predictable Political Maneuverings: Two Weeks Ago We Dispatched A Warning About Hugh Hewitt
The Last Refuge - Conservative Treehouse ^ | September 3, 2015 | Sundance

Posted on 09/04/2015 12:53:55 PM PDT by Sontagged

...Thus two weeks ago we dispatched a warning about Hugh Hewitt specifically:

Politics as an industry – Salem Communications [radio talk show (Hewitt), Red State (Erickson), now also Twitchy (Malkin), Hot Air (McCain), NRO, Townhall, Human Events, Bearing Arms etc.] has the same general ideological world view as Jeb Bush, George Will, Rupert Murdoch, Wall Street Journal, etc.

UPDATE: As if on cue – Salem Communications, Via Hot Air, publishes a “compare and contrast” article pushing the GOPe Carly Fiorina – as savior angle. LINK HERE

Salem Communications owns both Hot Air and Hugh Hewitt. See how they roll?

Shorter: “the betters”, the “elites”. Or those who feel superior enough to tell others what they should or must think. You’ll note these Salem groups rarely research, present raw data, or offer unfiltered information; it’s almost always Op-Ed.

We, the proud vulgarian team, without financial considerations to skew our perspectives and viewpoints, do not like the “financial media class” and the skewered perspectives that come with financial dependency. We are able to research, watch, describe and discuss through clear-eyed glasses. Hence, we can transmit the warning above.

The gathering of the opposition research includes trying to record Donald Trump for use in later campaigns, ie. the lead to the debate. Hence again, the warning above.

They, all of them, want Trump stumbling and stammering. Desperately seeking to create the “Park Row Narrative” – inept, inexperienced, incompetent, et al.

Just like Bloomberg’s John Heilemann and Mark Halperin with the “what’s your favorite bible passage” question (ie. prove you’re a christian); or Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin asking Ted Cruz his favorite “Hispanic food or Hispanic singer” in essence prove you’re Hispanic bona fides questions:

Today’s questions from Hugh Hewitt are no less strategic or strategically motivated. Hugh Hewitt has a plan. Hewitt is also part of the Salem Op-Ed machine who are trying to provide the soundbites for the upcoming assault.

Within seconds of Hewitt providing the fuel, the RNC industrial machine jumped to action. This is only going to get worse by infinite magnitudes. Prepare for it.

(New York Times) […] Mr. Trump, a real estate developer and brand manager who has never worked in government, has relatively little experience dealing with foreign governments. But he has boasted of his global reach and international experience as a businessman. Mr. Hewitt said he was not interested in “gotcha” questions but wanted to be sure Mr. Trump had a baseline of knowledge about foreign leaders. “On the front of Islamist terrorism, I’m looking for the next commander in chief to know who Hassan Nasrallah is, and Zawahiri, and al-Julani, and al-Baghdadi. Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?” Mr. Hewitt asked. There is one goal in all of this – DESTROY DONALD TRUMP ! It’s simply what they do, every election, every time, when the industrial political machine doesn’t like the candidate.

And the intel/optics will be used as fuel injected into the debate while GOPe co-horts (Carly Fiorina) will continue the Megyn Kelly approach.

The RNC/GOPe machine, through the various Wall Street funded Super-PACs will also fund liberal groups (Hispanics, La Raza, and Black Lives Matter as examples) and labor organizations (remember the SEIU orcs?) to campaign against Trump visibly based on “racist” and divisive accusations.

Yes, that is correct. The same party who just presented a loyalty pledge is now empowered, with full plausible deniability of course, to fund Trump’s removal at all costs.

This is going to get even more UGLY as the political power brokers grow increasingly more anxious.

GOPe Republicans are just as vicious as Democrats when it comes to attacking their adversaries. Unfortunately, GOPe Republicans don’t view Democrats as their opposition (see Mitt Romney ’12), they only view conservatives as their adversaries.

I knew about that one. There’s one more too.

I’m sure there are many more if we looked into it.

Not interested in taking him down because I do want Cruz as the V.P.

I just get tired of the one way street.

Hugh Hewitt has been extremely up front about the questions he will ask candidates, both on his radio program, and when he is a moderator at the debate.

Salem also is extremely up front. There are no hidden agendas or back room strategies. There were no gotcha questions because Hewitt’s questions have been known for weeks.

That’s fine but please take the “GOPe Roadmap To Victory Challenge” before you write off Sundance’s theories (and get back to me):

Cruz is a liability on the Presidential ticket, fine for SCOTUS.

It’s not important that candidates pass trivia tests, I agree. That’s inside the beltway perspective, imposed on candidates for decades by Washington press corp, who want to revel in their minutia as an intellectual status symbol. I’ve longed for years for some candidate to brush it off on the way past the questioner to an articulation of the correct principle. Principals make encyclopedic knowledge unnecessary.

That said, this is the opposite of what Trump is doing. The candidate who would simply say “I don’t recognize the name. What’s the point of the question?” - would be the one I’d like. But the opposite of this is to be thin-skinned and whiny, complaining that some reporter is trying to play “gotcha”, as if the leader of the free world is not going to have “gotchas” played on him all day long.

Trump is not brushing past trivia in order to articulate principle (which would Reagenesque.) He’s whining. He’s a fragile flower with a thin coat of bluster on top. And not a conservative.

I posted Sundance’s article to show the concerted effort against Trump involves Hewitt, so we could see a larger map of what the Establishment is doing.

I.e. the way they are pushing back on Trump reveals their own motives and goals.

Trump needs to figure out why the Uniparty Establishment wants the destruction of this country, and it’s not because they are “dumb”.

HH is going to do what HH is going to do. Its not a big deal. He is going to co-moderate the CNN debate with Jake Tapper. I expect it to go much more smoothly that the debacle that was Fox.

Hewitt is a flea

I saw that weird piece of garbage on Morning Joe about a week ago and after spending some time giving the latest numbers on Trump and so on Joe asked Hewitt who, in his sage opinion, was going to be nominated.

Without batting one of his weird google eyes Hewitt said Jeb with probably Kasich or Walker as a running mate.

He had no time for and not a single word for any of the conservative candidates. It was one of those airy hand waves and let's get down to the grown-up topics of the day.

He's to creepy to be a full-fledged birdbrain of the establishment but it is his life's ambition.

Fifth-column SeeBS leftist skank, Scott Pelley, gave plenty of negative coverage to Trump’s answer to Hewitt’s question. Scott then switched to a story about Biden’s possible bid for the presidency, without even one mention of Biden’s cornucopia of incompetence.

Sadly, I just caught Hewitt on OAN saying that Trump’s “temperament” makes him unsuited for office.

Signing a pact with the GOPevil might just be Trump’s Chamberlain moment.

Trump is smarter than Hewitt by an order of magnitude.

It is easy for Hewitt to stand on the sidelines and snipe. I wouldn't blame Trump if he decided to not attend the CNN Debates because of Hewitt's pettiness.

No one would watch.

hat the media does not like is being whipped by their own whip. The media as the right to whip but the those they whip have no right to defend themselves.

Good for Trump. If he did not like Hewitt’s questioning he has every right to fight back and let the chips fall where they may.

I think so too. I guess Hugh would rather have a joyful tortoise’s temperament in the oval office.

I was thinking just that.

Those who want to skin Trump alive would not dare do the same to Hillary or Obama. Hewitt does not have the stones to attack Obama day after day. He is just part of the media weasels. It is amazing to watch.

Rush: Trump Had A Fairly Decent Answer to Hugh Hewitt’s Questions, It’s Not Going To Hurt Him
The Right Scoop ^ | 9/4/2015 | Rush Limbaugh
Posted on 9/4/2015, 1:18:37 PM by conservativejoy

Rush Limbaugh talked about the Hugh Hewitt interview with Donald Trump today on his radio show and basically said that Trump had a fairly decent answer to Hewitt’s questions about the names of the terrorist organizations in the Middle East. And because of that and the fact that both Reagan and Bush had a similar problem and were both elected twice, he really doesn’t think this is going to hurt Trump at all.

I sincerely doubt that. Trump is first class.

I question why Hewitt only interviewed Fiorina. Why didn’t he take a cross section of candidates. Why didn’t he grill Carson?

Hewitt set Trump up. Fiorina was way too rehearsed.

Trump will figure it out. He is a quick study.

Get over it . He will win the presidency!
