This is the first thing that disappointed me about Donald Trump.

From OBERGEFELL:

Page 5:

Finally, the First Amendment ensures that religions, those who adhere to religious doctrines, and others have protection as they seek to teach the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their lives and faiths.

Page 27:

Finally, it must be emphasized that religions, and those who adhere to religious doctrines, may continue to advocate with utmost, sincere conviction that, by divine precepts, same-sex marriage should not be condoned. The First Amendment ensures that religious organizations and persons are given proper protection as they seek to teach the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their lives and faiths, and to their own deep aspirations to continue the family structure they have long revered.

If the judge is going to cite the Supreme Court ruling, then where is this protection? Were there not other alternatives short of imprisonment that could have taken first, if they were serious about protecting the First Amendment rights, too, during all of this?

The truth is that business leaders are supportive of homosexuals. Not just Trump.

They don’t have families and have few friends.
They spend more of their free time on work.

I am not surprised that Trump is supportive of gay marriage.

By electing Trump, gay “marriage” (garriage) will have another 8 years as the law of the land.

By electing Trump, gay activists will have the opportunity to use the courts to put more Christians in jail.

Well, he actually had a chance to claim ownership of the conservative movement If he had framed this argument constitutionally.

But he did not see the open door and thus did not walk through it...

or.....he sides with the law and order set who wear blinders and cannot see a bad law from a good.

Thank You Donald Trump.

Now. Finally the Trumpers here at FR will shut up and sit down!

Surely this will - once and for all - be the total proof that Trump is a fraud and is no conservative.

Right?

If Donald Trump were running for president in 1860: “Dred Scott was a terrible decision, but the Supreme Court has ruled and it is the law of the land. Time to move on.”

If Donald Trump were running for president in 1944: “Placing American citizens in concentration camps and taking away their property is a terrible thing, but the Supreme Court has ruled and it is the law of the land. Time to move on.”

If Donald Trump were running for president in 1952: “Segregation is a terrible thing, but the Supreme Court has ruled and it is the law of the land. Time to move on.”

If Donald Trump were running for president in 1972: “Killing an unborn child for the sake of convenience is a terrible thing, but the Supreme Court has ruled and it is the law of the land. Time to move on.”

Hopefully that will be the end of Trump.

I advise all frustrated conservatives to switch to Ted Cruz!

Being wrong on one social issue tends to make one wrong on all social issues. He’ll probably go limp on planned parenthood too.

I’m really glad for Trump bringing immigration to the forefront. I’m really glad for Trump sticking a finger in the eye of the RNC leadership and the lily-liver Congress leaders, as well as RINO candidates.

Would I vote for Trump over any of the Dhim candidates. Absolutely.

Will I support him in the primaries? No, not against authentic conservatives.

That’s been my position from the start. It is still my position.

Trump is being exposed for who he is: a shallow man with a big ego and a big mouth, who doesn’t understand the Constitution. This is not a man to rely on.

“You have to go with it,” Mr. Trump said. “The decision’s been made, and that is the law of the land.”

Nonsense. The Supreme Court is NOT the legislative branch of the government.

Five appointed men or women do not have the privilege of making the laws for the entire country for us.

I hope and somewhat expect Trump to reconsider his expressed remarks regarding this.

It is a complete loser for him and it could undermine his candidacy as it completely contradicts his political raison d’etre.

Trump has a big problem if he keeps giving quick answers to questions without being careful about how he words them. Words are cold when they’re put in print.
