DONALD TRUMP AND KIM DAVIS: NO SWEAT, THEY BOTH EXPOSE THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT: BUNNING'S NEAT TRICK
9/4/2015 | Self

Posted on 09/04/2015 4:19:50 AM PDT by Nextrush

(EDITORIAL NOTE: A POST I MADE AROUND 5AM THIS MORNING LAYS OUT THE NEAT TRICK JUDGE DAVID BUNNING APPEARS TO BE PULLING TO AVOID MARTYRDOM FOR KIM DAVIS. I MENTION IT BRIEFLY AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST BUT I WAS LOGGED OFF FREE REPUBLIC AFTER 5AM SO THE POST COULD BE REMOVED FROM THE FRONTPAGE NEWS SECTION)

There have been some on Free Republic asking about Donald Trump's view of Rowan County, Kentucky Chief Kim Davis's act of civil disobedience over gay marriage.

Whatever, I think what counts is that both of them in their own way expose the fake conservatism of the Republican Party apparatus.

Trump has called their bluff on Amnesty and invasion of illegal immigrants. Davis calls their bluff on 'family values' and 'religious freedom'.

When Operation Rescue was coming down in the late 1980's with abortion clinic blockades across the country I held management responsibility for a mainstream media organization and I caught flak not just from the Pro-Abortion liberals for coverage (they knew I was Pro-Life) but from the "Pro-Life Movement".

The National Right To Life operatives didn't want Operation Rescue coverage because civil disobedience disrupted their political approach of gradualism.

This meant using emotional wedges like abortions for minors, at military bases, partial birth and so on to raise money and support Republican politicians who were were "Pro-Life" and would give us the "Pro-Life, Pro-Family" SCOTUS justices who would someday overturn Roe vs. Wade.

We know where that's left us at this moment.....

As I posted earlier my hunch is that Judge Bunning is trying to get things over with quickly and relieve Kim Davis of any 'martyr' status ASAP.

It looks like a neat trick from a Republican Establishment judge.

In a few minutes the gay plantiffs enter the Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk's Office. They get marriage licenses from the clerks who told the judge they would give them.

Then Bunning gets to release Davis I strongly suspect.

I suggested the alternate "We Shall Not Be Moved" scenario involving concerned citizens.

We shall see things play out momentarily.

I honestly think you give them too much credit. The shackles were meant to placate the left because she is sooooo heinous to deny the fags their “rights” that she had to be frog marched for the optics.

There are poll internals that show as much as 40% of black women polled are supporting Trump. Another trap I presume?

“By their fruits you will know them.”

If you insist on “knowing people” by their labels, you are showing ignorance, especially in a local (and mostly non-political office) like county clerk.

There was a time when democrats could be conservative in the south. I know, because I was one of them. With the ascent of marxist extremism in the rat party (but really just masquerading the rise of the uniparty), that has become an untenable position for most conservative democrats. There are still some isolated examples of conservative democrats in the rural south, they’re just rare.

Like Zell Miller.

Yes, rare, and inexplicable. I wouldn't be caught dead with that brand, although many voters have been.

Those damn social issues keep popping up and getting in the way of working together with Democrats to things done. How can we show that we're the better stewards of the welfare state if these hicks keep making us react to this crap. I tell my media friends privately I'm embarrassed but publicly I'm keeping my head down until this passes. My wife is pro choice and her cousin gay and wants to marry her partner and somehow I have to navigate through that mess without any publicity since she expects me to attend her cousin's wedding.
I did get some good news though since I've followed the Speakers lead on every vote he has assured me that my bill to allow the automotive software company in my district to import more H-B1 visa workers should sail through both Houses with no problem and I've been awarded $500,000 in campaign cash by the Business for Comprehensive Immigration Labor Solutions pac for next year! I can get more air time to run my "Common sense conservative with home town values” commercials in key spots next year! Next term should improve my personal financials quite considerably!

Big picture, the purge of conservatives from the democratic party was necessary for the rise of the uniparty. The uniparty doesn’t work without its respective left wing and right wing plantations that can be demagogued.

(from all I have read on the subject),

Consider the source of that information. The Men Seeking Men mediums. They are the ones who are conveniently leaving out that part about her being a Democrat or, at best, hiding it deep within the story.

Selah. That means think long and hard about it.

Once again, you used a slur in your post. I called you on it.

Now you point out that she is a democrat (which is something I knew). Apparently, that is supposed to negate her actions, or something.

And I need to “think long and hard about it”? How insulting.

Consider that if she had uttered a single phrase showing fear or loathing of homosexuals, the MSM would be trumpeting those words to justify their attacks.

But you appear content to attack without evidence.

I will not be party to that rhetorical lynching, FRiend.

I agree that Bunning is looking for a quick and easy way out here. But I don’t think he’s smart enough for any sort of patsy-type involvement let alone leadership role in something organized by the GOPe.

Reason is that the marriage licenses now being issued in Rowan County are invalid. Only the Clerk and county judges (in the Clerks abscence) can sign them. Deputy/Assistant Clerks can’t, whether under their own signatures or a facsimile copy of the clerk’s.

Bunning even said as much yesterday, saying it was up to the couple to take the risk of being married under an invalid license.

There’s no way this is ending. Bunning has actually made it a lot messier. The Clerk is now in a position where she can sue based on the fradulent issue and use of invalid documents.

Actually, I think I pointed that out in my original post, but, whatever.

If you want to rely on The MSM to provide the substance for you opinions, more power to you. I choose to not do likewise.

Now. How 'bout that Climate Change? Crazy, huh?

It's not like we don't know what happened. The (D) party has become increasingly radicalized ever since FDR and maybe back to Wilson. Each new generation makes the last one look tame. The (R) party has picked up most conservative (D) and has been actively recruiting them since Reagan and especially the Gingrich Congress ( how many times did Hannity badger Zell Miller to switch? ). The old-timers tend to stay in their party so it's not inexplicable.

Up here in New York our (R) politicians are less trustworthy than southern (D)'s every day of the week. But it's certainly less true than it used to be. And that is because of this immutable law ...

(D) = becoming Distilled
(R) = becoming Diluted

But this sure does NOT mean a (D) cannot be trusted but an (R) can be! If anything the (R) party is loaded with tepid Republicans ready to betray at a moment's notice. And they sure are proving it in the Congress.

I'd crawl over broken glass to vote for Zell Miller (D-GA) if he was running against Pataki (R-NY). One thing is for sure, and it sure seems to be confusing the hell out of others, and that is our (D)'s up here are really liberals and will never be confused with any other (D)'s. Trump is NOT one of these. I'll tell you something else, if he was a lifelong (R) up here, I would then begin to worry. It is best to not be wedded to either up here. Those are the ones who I can trust.

KY is a state where Democrats still win by playing Conservative. Every statewide elective office is held by a Democrat, and Democrats hold a 10-seat majority in the State House.

The KY Dems are staying as far away from this as they possibly can. Especially given the state holds elections in two months. It’s fun watching them try to do the duck and cover thing: the Democrat Speaker of the House is even begging the Governor to hold a special session to provide protections to this clerk.

the leftist smear "homophobe"

You could call it a leftist "dog whistle". They seem to like that expression (when applied to others).

Rural, local democrats are not the same as national democrats. That’s why Reagan was able to recruit them.

I have a family of them in the mountains of NC. We’re gradually prying them loose from the family tradition of being democrat. Actually, we’ve just sat back and let the national democrats do that for us.

I totally agree. Look at how many “GOP” just bow down to Supreme Court Lawlessness. They could’ve stopped the Supreme Court in its tracks long ago simply through non compliance. If a state can balk at federal drug laws and federal immigration law they most certainly balk at illegal federal rulings on marriage law.
