Cruz 'Unequivocally' Stands with KY Clerk Jailed for Christian Beliefs (with Video)
Fox News ^ | September 3, 2015 | Fox News Insider

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz told Megyn Kelly tonight that the Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples should be released from jail.

U.S. District Judge David Bunning told Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis she would be jailed until she complied with his order to issue the licenses.

Cruz said that this is outrageous, fundamentally wrong and he unequivocally stands with Davis.

"We are a nation that was formed by people fleeing religious oppression and coming to seek a land where we could worship free of the government getting in the way," Cruz said. "It is stunning what is happening here."

Cruz explained that the result of this standard is that Christians cannot hold public office, unless they are willing to violate their faith or go to jail.

"That is not America. That is not how this country works."

Think of them as what they are. Victims of lesser evil voters. Because it was lesser evil voters that created a GOP unwilling to defend God and their own Constitution.

You are right!

The Legislative Branch is the only Branch who has the power to make a law or regulations, penalties, fines, taxes treaties issue subpoenas etc. Not the Courts.

They only have the right to issue an opinion on the constitutionality of a law that is sent before them and that is all period! Just an opinion!

The Executive Branch is the only one who can enforce the law ie: serve warrants, subpoenas, make arrests etc. The Legislative Branch of our Government has been letting the two weaker branches of our government he Executive and Judiciary of who none are elected by the people, them, except for the President usurp the power of the only people in our entire country and government that are directly accountable to the people.

The Legislative the Senators and Representatives have become so corrupted and immoral by their insatiable greed, and lust for wealth and power, that it has become their only concern.

Forget about parties for both serve the same, themselves and the very rich that own and control them.

They only have the power to issue a requested warrant, not to fine and certainly arrest or jail anyone, nor make any law.

Those U.S.Marshals that are assigned to the Courts or,do not work for them nor are they under the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Branch but are under the Executive Branch as all enforcement agencies and officers of any type are. The only right they have is to refuse to hear it and send it back to the Legislative Branch deal with it.

You seem confident that a lib Repub president wouldn’t have this happen under his term...you forget this judge who did this was appointed by a Republican.

Under a liberal Repub president the leftists would get even more wins

The lesser of two evils is still evil.
