Trump fumbles Hewitt question on terror leaders [barf alert]
Politico ^ | 09/03/2015 | Eliza Collins

Posted on 09/03/2015 6:46:11 PM PDT by GIdget2004

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt found something Donald Trump doesn’t win at on Thursday — knowing his terrorists.

“I’m looking for the next commander-in-chief, to know who Hassan Nasrallah is, and Zawahiri, and al-Julani, and al-Baghdadi. Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?” Hewitt asked the 2016 Republican candidate, referring to the respective leaders of Hezbollah, al Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra, and the Islamic State.

“No," Trump said.

"You know, I’ll tell you honestly, I think by the time we get to office, they’ll all be changed. They’ll be all gone,” he said. “I knew you were going to ask me things like this, and there’s no reason, because number one, I’ll find, I will hopefully find General Douglas MacArthur in the pack.”

Trump said asking him who the key players were was a type of “gotcha question.”

“I will be so good at the military, your head will spin. But obviously, I’m not meeting these people. I’m not seeing these people,” Trump said.

"Now as far as what you’re talking about now, I will know every detail, and I will have the right plan, not a plan like this where we’re probably going backwards based on everything that I’m hearing, but we’re probably going backwards, zero respect. We have, we are not a respected country, and certainly as it relates to ISIS and what’s going on, and Iran."

Since you fail to comprehend my previous post, you are not on my level to debate with. Bye Bye.

if you can not understand the difference between a Soros and a Trump

Perhaps you don't understand the similarities. Both supported Hillary, Harry Reid, Pelosi, Senate Democrats and House Democrats.

I'm curious how you will explain Trump's similarities.

Thus far your debate level has not been that high.

You argue for Trump because he’s rich and therefore has ‘vision’. When that logic fails, you posit another metric, as easily debunked.

If you cannot do better, then by all means, withdraw.

He is the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon. I hope you have heard of them in passing. You might have remembered that little war Israel had with them for the last 30 years or so. Maybe you are too young, but there was that killing of 300 Marines back in the 80’s.You might have some vague memory of that. You will also get to know them better when Iran gets the bomb, they will be the guys who will get to explode one for them in a city near you.

” There is no reason or way for a candidate to know every nuance and fact of foreign policy”

whut

There is no reason a candidate who makes speeches about standing with Israel and invading Iraq, he’s talked about sending in ground troops to fight ISIS...

but it’s not important that he knows what he is talking about.... right

I forget, his latest plan was to negotiate with terrorists and offer them stuff.

Of course not. He said he was going to build a wall and that's all that matters.

By then they will be.

People don’t understand that the world we live in next year will be very different than the world we live in today. As an example, 15 months ago, even us news hounds had never heard of ISIS.

He also failed to describe the nucleic acid sequences present in chromosome #11

Trump’s response was, “I will know it when I need it. I have people for that”

I'm pretty sure Henry Ford wasn't a good mechanic nor could he name all the parts of a model A.

A president has to be a chairman of the board...not an administrative assistant.

Trump has a good foundation and is a very fast learner.

If he can't absorb enough as required by the passage of time. He will be gone.

Remember, governors don't know much about foreign relations either...nor do senators or vice presidents.

Except for the muslim world, what do you think Obama knew about foreign relations?

I so agree with you. I hate it when I have to sit there and squirm over egotistical panelists questions to candidates— questions that the jerk panelists could not answer in a million years, themselves, if they hadn’t for days researched the trap they wanted to set. You know what I mean?

I thought Trump’s answer was splendid, btw. Trump is not afraid of learning, he is a quick study for sure, and is up to the challenge.

The effort to make a dunce out of Trump just doesn’t play well.

Hewlitt is tough but fair.
That’s in the eye of the beholder. Megyn Kelly thought she was “tough but fair.”

What the media would have to understand about Trump in order to come out of an interview with him is simply this:

Trump is breaking PC “rules” - and we know it and like it. We don’t care about much else. Trump called someone besides Rosie O’Donnell “fat and ugly?” He’s also telling the truth about immigration, and his critics are not.

Diverting from the big picture - or outright lying - is “the media’s” idea of "tough but fair.” But Trump doesn’t let that pass.

As I've mentioned before I don't do comparisons to Obama regarding this election....’the Obama bar is soooo low’ it really insults any of the candidates to compare...., who certainly ‘any’ would far surpass this entire administration....

As for Trump....he's defiantly a “risk” as I see it. I prefer Cruz who has a long standing history easy to support from what is significant to me. He's fought a long time for conservatism and against the established quo in Washington and often pretty much alone.

So I prefer less risk when the country is so dangerously close to the precipice....additionally there is just sooo much Trump isn't aware of especially in the halls of Washington...a beast all it's own..... It'll be a minefield for him... and I don't think the country has the 'time' while he attempts graduating from his new rookie status as a political figure to wade through that terrain of the big league games already in play.......he will have to be "led" as through a swampland filled with alligators and snakes.

I just don't think we have 'the time' for a rookie when there is an alternative who knows well the entire domain and it's beasts hiding behind closed doors.

The media always pegs itself as a “player” in elections...but now they have their journalists and hosts central to the debates...it’s THEIR show...not the candidates who are just their stage props.

This just shows how far ‘our nation has fallen’....these candidates are not just something on a spreed sheet to make game and fun of.....these are “Presidential Candidates of the United States of America”....worthy of “RESPECT”. The media does not show this by any means. Therefore neither do the people take this seriously...it’s just a show to so many.....and often simply humorous and the latest entertainment of the hour....

Trumps responses will always be accepted just as they are....expectations are not high as too many compare him to Obama who’s bar is soooo low one could simply walk over it without effort........who BTW is NOT running.

Trump built real things, Soros simply shuffled paper.

And Trump LOVES AMERICA, Soros hates America. Memorize it.

YES, yes and YES. The media has no respect for us or the candidates, and therefore they want us to have no respect for the candidates. It is Alinsky on demand, even on our side of the media.
