I have a 2001 Softail. It’s a nice bike.

My 1992 BMW is a much BETTER bike, but...

...the Softail is... ...nice.

...

...

...

PS - Be warned, you might not want to trust my opinions regarding the qualities of various motorcycles because I freely admit to loving them all. If it has two wheels, and an engine w/gearbox, then I will find SOMETHING to love about it - even if it is a 1970s Ducati single or an early CZ dirt bike.

Mine spent more time in the shop for warranty work and in the back of various trucks than it ever did running. It was a brand new 2000 model that leaked oil and randomly refused to start.

New bikes are *NOT* supposed to leak oil.

You sound like my kind of motorcyclist.
Two wheels and an engine and classified as;
Good- better- even better - best.

Yeah, I loved my 69 BSA 650 Lightning. But, oh man, I wouldn’t have taken on a road trip. Lucas....Lord of Darkness.
