I digress.
I bought my last BMW in 1998 (great car!).
My first Honda (Acura) in 2003.
Honda only!

Ft Washington HD has always been a starting point for a “Yellow Ribbon” ride down to the North Pentagon parking lot in support of Rolling Thunder.
This could get real interesting.

Smooth as electric, cruise 90mph all day. Any faster I had to downshift, top gear wasn’t quite torquey enough. 1 gear down would give 105.

I have a cb750k that is in progress to getting back to roadworthy. Been sitting for years.
Valve cover gasket leaks bad. Gasket kit should be here tomorrow.

They’re destroying the HD brand name and corporate
Reputation, sponsoring a racist murder gang or whatever. I predict they’ll soon lose their HD franchise for a stunt like this I’ve never seen a franchise agreement that failed to provide for this sort of thing

If it was a lemon, Harley is cranking out very little but lemons, based on the experiences in my circle of friends who actually ride their bikes more than once a month down to the local bar. I put more miles on a bike in a year - 20-30K - than most Harley riders do in a decade. If you actually ride them, they generally fall apart.

I have that bike’s later cousins - 1986 Nighthawk 700S and 2002 919. Both have what Harley riders have called “absurd” mileage on them - well over 60K and still ticking right along.

Grab a Dyna S ignition for it while you can, I hear Dyna is finally thinking about discontinuing them.

Don’t skip oil changes, use good oil and they just keep going.

I ride a 94’ Nostalgia Cow Glide. It will be the last bike I own. Let’s say I am satisfied with it.

A few Harley owners don't know enough to avoid overfilling the oil. Do that and you get your right leg sprayed with oil out the air cleaner. My 2008 XL1200R and 2009 FXDF have never shed a drop of oil on my garage floor.

If white motorcyclists had a rally, it would be immediately denounced by the MSM as a white supremacy event. Our country is in such deep trouble...
To: Spktyr
I put 60,000 miles, equally distributed across the Kawasaki Versys (2009), XL1200R (2008), FXDF (2009) as daily drivers in my commutes to work between July 2009 and Sept 2014. I had a hiatus in 2013 (March to September) with no contract coverage. The big run in 2013 was a July trip Pocatello <--> Yellowstone. In 2012, I managed San Diego <--> Pocatello in August. Most days I had a 60 mile round trip to work and another 300 miles on weekends. Just standard maintenance on the bikes. No breaks.
The sad news is that my bikes have less than 50 miles on them since last September when I returned to Pocatello. I'm always working. When I do get a break, my wife corrals the time to go for dinner and shopping after work. Summer is nearly over. 2015 was not a year for riding.

I haven’t had that experience. There’s only one person in our circle of friends (and we ride a lot) whose bike seems to continually fall apart, and it’s a trike.
