Two of the most interesting Mars Curiosity rover images I've seen (not the ones from the news)
NASA

Maybe it's just Martian weather making straight lines, 90 degree angles, and cuts that look machine made. I really don't know what to think about these but they sure are interesting.

Here are the two images straight from NASA:

Wow. So in addition to geologists and meteorologists, our Mars teams should include archaeologists.

Looks like ISIL/ISIS got there first and destroyed a bunch of statues.

The holes on some of those rocks look drilled.

A really good book I’m reading right now:

“The Martian”

An astronaut is accidentally left by himself on Mars after his crewmates thought he had died. They return to Earth without him.

Very technically accurate.

Don’t tell the Indian tribes. They will all lay claim to the “ancient ones”...

That movie is also about to come out with Matt Damon starring.

I enjoyed that very much, too, recently, looking forward to the movie later this year, might actually go to watch it.

Mars receives no precipitation. This could potentially be something not natural.

It’s an awesome book, I finished it in just a few days...a real page-turner! The movie trailers look pretty decent too.

SO what. I guess you have never spent time with rocks that have been severely weathered. They can look like all sorts of things they aren’t

Lots of basalt on Mars, which can fracture into nice, flat planes.

Either that, or “The Shadow Out Of Time” took place on the wrong planet.

Oh that is ridiculous. Have you never seen the erosion that a sand storm can cause. PLUS to say that Mars does not have an atmosphere today (hence precipitation) does not mean it didn’t have one in the past
