ATHENS, Greece Greek authorities say a partial inventory of unregistered weapons found on a Libya-bound freighter includes nearly 500,000 rounds of ammunition and 5,000 "police-style" shotguns.
A coast guard statement Wednesday said that so far two of the 14 containers found on the Bolivian-flagged Haddad 1 have been searched. A coast guard special unit stopped the ship early Tuesday off Crete, and took it to the island's port of Iraklio.

Maybe they need shipping (other than illicit) to export potatoes. Trout comes in from Peru, beef from Argentina, and seafood from Chile.
They also export some alkaloids, but those fall under the illicit category.
KYPD
Mossberg Model 500 shotguns by any chance?
Ah, the sweet smell of liberty and vengeance.
Slugs I suppose are bullets, of a sort.
I've used slugs in a shotgun. Never bullets.
Thanks for the link.
It’s a fascinating bit of history.
I always wondered why Chile was so long and narrow.
Please substantiate your assertion.
Thanks for the link.
I posted the name of the book.

Hence my terribly graymmar....
What a stupid headline.
If all they found were shotguns and “bullets” then they found a completely harmless shipment of goods.
Yes, but it is still in the form of a shotgun shell, not a “bullet”.
Better question, why bother?
What does it take to reload a shotgun shell? Minimalist approach.
No dies/presses needed.
A hammer maybe, substitute a rock in a pinch. A metal pin to not out the spent primer, find that in the rubble. A flat surface.
Wadding? I can use any sort of fabric, my shirt sleeve maybe.
Load? Find that in the bubble. Maybe wax it together and make a Freud slug.
Primers? Yes I will need these, but I can easily carry thousands on my person or in a bag.
Powder? Yes, will need a sourse.
How well do they work?
Yes, but those inserts only work in break-open shotguns. They are too long to cycle in pump or auto guns.
Fox News doesn’t know the difference between bullets and ammunition.
Well, it is for me and my shoulder. A gunsmith friend was repairing a Saiga (sp?) AK-type shotgun. We burned about 100 rounds through it testing it. The light loads were fine, but the heavy loads really smacked us around. The owner had never cleaned it, and the gas system was full of carbon and chunks of wad. After a good cleaning and some adjusting the gas ports, it ran fine, but had a real kick with heavy loads, no matter how it was set.
Let’s see what we have here.
A Bolivian-flagged ship. Bolivia is run by the Marxist Morales.
Ship’s name is Haddad, a middle eastern name.
Came from Turkey, a rogue Islamic state and arms supplier to the world.
Heading to Libya, where ISIS/Al Qaeda faction is fighting everyone.
Conclusion: Nothing to see. Let’s move on to Hillary’s IP Server.
KC Lion: Don’t worry. Your arms shipment will soon show up on EBay. Bid early. Bid often. Good hunting.
