Any guesses on how much longer until they bring on the lions?
I’ve long seen it coming but always assumed it will be after I’ve passed. I’m no longer so sure about that.

She is an elected official. Easier to try to break her and force her to resign than impeach her? Fine her and send her to the poor house if need be?

Strange how quick the feral government can act when it decides to act. Hundreds were murdered with guns from the
Fast and Furious gun-running scheme; Eric Holder was found in contempt of Congress years ago - yet nothing happened.

This is what corruption looks like.

It might be time for a non-violent, but armed intervention by the Oath Keepers. Someone needs to protect her Constitutional rights until a fair resolution can be reached.

The fastest and easiest resolution to this is for the Kentucky legislature to change the law so that county clerks are not *required* to issue marriage licenses.

Right now, because state law requires them to issue licenses, this federal judge can force them to give licenses to octopuses if they want. However, if she is not required to do so, she doesn’t have to give them to anyone.

She had already decided to not give them to anyone, and could get away with it, if the state law allowed her to.

Back in the 1770s, some judge made a ruling no one liked. That night, a large crowd gathered at the judge’s house, forced him out, then dismantled his home till all he had was a large pile of lumber.

Tar and feathers are not out of style are they?

Did the judge order the state to issue, or her to issue? The onus is on the state, if you want my opinion.

Her to issue. The state had already ordered her to comply with the law and she refused.

TYRANNY! RESIST! This **elected** county clerk is **following the law** of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, which **prohibits** the marriage of persons of the same sex! The federal government, including the U.S. Supreme Court, has **no constitutional authority** in this matter!

<>This is what corruption looks like.<>

All three branches have been corrupted from their republican, constitutional purposes.

Elections are necessary in republics. In authoritarian regimes, elections serve to give oppression the patina of legitimacy.

After a lifetime of never missing an election, nor trying to evade jury duty, 2014 was probably my last participation in what was the American Republic.

The whole thing is specious, if you ask me. She’s only an agent of the state; actually, a servant of the state. Why didn’t they simply discharge her?

The federal obergruppenfuhrers must make an example of her, lest her example be followed by the peasants.

She’s an elected official, so she can’t be fired by anyone. I don’t know if there is some recall or impeachment process.

I agree. We should pick good fights and this isn’t one. The state issues the license. She works for the state. She needs to do what the state wants her to do.

She can resign if she can’t.

Now, when they try to force a private party or church to participate in a gay marriage, that is a worthy fight.

This is nonsense.
