I did a quick search, and looks like there’s been a lot of spitting in police officer’s takeout/FF orders in recent years.

I also remember one where the officer got his sandwich or whatever in the drive-thru, and got suspicious the way the girl giggled and said “enjoy your sandwich”. He had it tested, and IIRC, it had oven cleaner or something like that on it. Yikes!

If I was a cop, I think I would only stop at places that made my food in front of me, like Subway or Penn Station. Or maybe I’d just bring my lunch to work with me, to be honest.

Not just police officers. One evening while on a long drive I went through the takeout window of a McDonald’s and ordered an unsweet iced tea. When I got back on the road and took a sip, I found out I had a cup of urine. . Since then I’ve always gone inside and poured drinks myself. A few times I’ve also experienced strange tasting food from a drive through window.

Generally I avoid fast food but when travel makes a stop necessary I always try to patronize Chick fil A. Most franchises are owned by devout Christians. The owner managers are usually in the store working the operation and the quality of employees is much higher than the average McDonalds or other brand fast food franchise. Less chance of getting tainted food.
