Trump’s populism is against the global elites and the Washington establishment.

Who look down on average Americans.

I don’t think its an ideological test.

Why are you surprised. People don’t trust Democrats.

Ugh, this is silly because the GOP has rubber stamped all of Obama policies. He has gotten more out of a GOP House and Senate than he got from the democrats, so the premise of this piece is stupid and blind.

How can it be, he wondered, that the segment of the GOP that’s complained most loudly about RINO deviations from conservative orthodoxy over the past five years would suddenly clasp the biggest RINO of them all to its breast?

How can it be? Some people would gladly cut off their nose (vote for a RINO) just to spite their face (the GOPe).

I understand the anger with the Establishment, but we have several candidates who have executive experience, are proven conservative, and are not members of the Establishment. And none of them is Trump.

I’ve seen similar “polls” where they take Obama policies and attribute them to some Dem enemy, with similar results.

Much of voting has become tribal, where we vote for our tribe, not ideas.

A lot of words to say what everyone knows: people want common sense solutions, not party rhetoric.

Other than giving political writers something to write about this doesn’t make any difference or Trump would not be in the position he is.

Trump wants to build the wall and he tells people who quite deserve it to go eff themselves. That’s more than I expect to get from any of the others.

This is hilarious!

Trump backers will swallow anything he hands them.

You have to remember, Trump could eat babies on the stump and his supporters will hail it as a wonderful new snack. Ann Coulter even said he could perform abortions in the Oval Office and she would not care.

So many people are willing to burn their Conservative Card for this egomaniacal cartoonish buffoon it is sad. He could shift on everything he is saying 180 degrees and they will still support him.

Silly fun. Would be more fun if they had tested the effect of others’ endorsements.

What a steaming pile. Just one example: Trump is knowledgable enough about firearms to say ARs aren’t “assault weapons.” He is just referring to fully automatic weapons.

Bottom line: If we clean out the Illegals, then we’ll maintain a country where conservatives can win...at that point we can do battle on the other issues.

If we don’t clean out the Illegals, then it is simply over for us, our children, and probably our grandchildren, as Amnesty will leave conservatives on the ash heap of history.

We have one chance to stop this, and only ONE CHANCE. And it’s not Cruz, he’s simply not up to it, at least for this election cycle. It is Trump, warts and all.

In a perfect world, Bush Jr. would have NEVER let the country get flooded with Illegals, and we’d be busy fighting the Dems on abortion, taxes, education, and everything else. But this world is not perfect, and we are left having to fight the Dems on Immigration first, and then, assuming we win, we can move on to other issues.

I am voting for Cruz. Trump does not have any conservative history. Politically Trump is at best a fence sitter and at worst a limousine liberal. Neither kind can be trusted.

False meme - there is also a credibility gap where folks are much more likely (and rightly so) to believe Trump means it when he says to strictly enforce, etc....

I guess folks will be folks when it comes to creative ways to 'prove" something vs. actually telling all the Truth in context.

Here's some useful links to those that want to do something positive instead of just going negative and damn the consequences...

My state primary is so far down the line that I will only get to vote for whomever is left standing. That said, the reason I like Trump right now is that he is changing the immigration debate in favor of working Americans and taxpaying citizens. I’ve never been a single issue voter before, but I am this year. If the candidate is not strong on illegal immigration and border security I won’t vote for them (or at all if there isn’t anyone left standing when I vote.)
