Now murders are mysteriously rising for reasons they can't explain. It must be Global Warming. Or car insurance rates. Or maybe squirrels. I bet it's the squirrels causing all the murders.
Now let's run another #BlackLivesMatter puff piece and more pro-crime propaganda about freeing drug dealers.
Cities across the nation are seeing a startling rise in murders after years of declines, and few places have witnessed a shift as precipitous as this city. With the summer not yet over, 104 people have been killed this year — after 86 homicides in all of 2014.
More than 30 other cities have also reported increases in violence from a year ago. In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014.
Baltimore? Not like anything happened there that might have helped accelerate the murder rate. Space to destroy? Doesn't ring a bell. It's some kind of mystery put down to disparate factors.

If only we had some sort of effective program for stopping gang members from carrying around guns to shoot each other with. I believe it was called Stop and Frisk. De Blasio trashed it to the loud cheers of the New York Times which was denouncing it.

Driving around the city you see homeless wanderers everywhere. In the once thriving suburban neighborhoods many blacks are sitting outside their homes that have bars on the windows, broken garage doors and dirt lawns. All these poor people have that lost look of despair on their faces. It's sad.
Most people don't realize government doesn't have the desire or ABILITY to lift all these people up. Only a strong, thriving economy can do that.
If street gangs did not have guns available, they would mutilate people with machetes. Get the gangs in prison for life.

These are the same people who see video of glaciers “calving” and think it is proof of global warming. They think the ice would not break off if it were one degree cooler. They can’t figure out that the ice is expanding forward into the sea so that it must break off at some point.
Don’t tell me no one is that stupid, I have met them.
I wouldn’t even ask; the semi-literates probably voted for him, while the professionals probably just stayed home (just as the white population split).
This is organized. The politicians are encouraging the blacks to be violent and break the law. The politicians and bureaucrats are threatening the police if they do their jobs.
The criminals now know they can get away with it. It is that simple.
The politicians and the MSM make up all kinds of stupid excuses but that is just to confuse the public.
This whole scene played out in NJ years ago, when one of our governors posed with a perp spread up against a police cruiser. Since then, cops have “stood down” in terms of black crime (unless they are raiding off the welfare reservations); the murder rate in our cities has increased ever since. The guns and drugs our police had intercepted in the past coming up 95 from Florida now enter uninterrupted.
They should be careful what they wish for; I have no problem with the policy because they don’t foot the bill for police protection anyway (or fire, or education, or public works, or even their own groceries & rent).

I’m not so sure about that; he didn’t do as well and won by having the media attack dogs marginalize Romney.
Well according the 2012 stats, 93% of blacks voted for Obama. He couldn’t have lost very many...
I suspect the 7% that didn’t vote for him were professionals who watched their standards of living decline (and knew it), while the 93% were the welfare population that simply wanted the checks/direct deposits to keep coming.
