GRAND RAPIDS, MI The 87-year-old man police say was soliciting an undercover cop posing as a prostitute will not be prosecuted.
"What would be the purpose in prosecuting him? " Kent County Prosecutor William Forsyth said Tuesday, Sept. 1. "He wouldn't and shouldn't go to jail and 87 years without involvement in the criminal justice system has, in my opinion, earned him a pass."
Howard Arthur Klein, likely the oldest person ever charged with this crime, was arrested by Grand Rapids Police around 10 p.m. June 26, near Broadway Street NW and Leonard Avenue, not far from his home.
Klein was arrested along with two other men and two women, the rest of whom were booked into the Kent County Jail. Klein was not taken into custody, due to his age, and was arraigned July 8.
What would be the purpose in prosecuting him?" Kent County Prosecutor William Forsyth.
Klein allegedly claimed he thought the woman he approached was someone he knew from church.
You mean a commendation?
I think he is getting off because he offered 1950 prices for such services.
He propositions church ladies?
Under cover cop posing as a prostitute? They’re the best looking ones.
——He propositions church ladies?——
well, at a church dinner for small groups, one of the group, the father of a friend, who was 80+ was asked about his going on cruises. He said he liked to go to meet people. Quizzed further he told of wearing his powder blue dinner jacket and then sitting down front at a show. “they just come” he said. Well that got some of the ladies curious and they egged him on.
He finally told to their complete satisfaction of one cruise with a female companion that got him on trouble with her because a lady from a previous cruise was quartered right across the hall.
Note..... he hit on cruise ladies, not church ladies that knew his deceased wife.
It’s the four hour miracle of modern drugs.
Actually you don’t need to pay big bucks for Viagra or Cialis. Tell your doctor you want a prescription for Sildenafil, the generic blood pressure medicine that is same as Viagra, except for dosage.
Most people get the 100mg Viagra and cut it in half for a 50mg dose.
Sildenafil comes in 20mg tablets only, so you use 3 for 60mg.
The real kicker is that, without any insurance, 10 100mg Viagra tablets are about $400 at Walmart, while 30 20mg Sildenafil tablets are $22.66 using the GoodRX discount card that you can get online that every Walmart/Sam’s accepts, as well as CVS, Costco, KMart, Target, and others.
This means that, while half a Viagra costs you $20, 3 Sildenafil cost you $2.25.
And they work exactly the same.
I know.
I can tell you have kept yourself up on it!
Either/Or.............B^)
Funny you should refer to Bob Dole, I remember when he was running in ‘96 and made the comment about the electorate, “if they want Ronald Reagan, I can be Ronald Reagan” and while I don’t think (really don’t want to think it) that Dole was ridiculing the millions of Americans who loved and revered Reagan while in office, that comment struck me as one of the phoniest utterances ever made by a politician.
But did I vote for Dole-Kemp?
Hell yes, because I wasn’t about to support Emperor Billigula’s bid for a second term by default.
I wonder if he could tell us what he normally eats?
Probably can’t remember : )
Ping.
What would be the purpose in ever prosecuting someone for this victimless crime?
I don't think my doctor would prescribe a drug upon my request unless she (my primary doc) deemed it necessary.
Why should anyone be prosecuted?
It’s two willing parties conducting a transaction.
Tell your doctor you want a prescription for Sildenafil...
I don’t think my doctor would prescribe a drug upon my request unless she (my primary doc) deemed it necessary
This is no different. I would guarantee that she knows about this workaround.
Sildenafil is where Viagra came from. People taking it for its original use, blood pressure control, reported frequent erections. After further research and FDA approval, they started marketing as Viagra. Exactly the same, just a higher dosage.
