Funny you should refer to Bob Dole, I remember when he was running in ‘96 and made the comment about the electorate, “if they want Ronald Reagan, I can be Ronald Reagan” and while I don’t think (really don’t want to think it) that Dole was ridiculing the millions of Americans who loved and revered Reagan while in office, that comment struck me as one of the phoniest utterances ever made by a politician.
But did I vote for Dole-Kemp?
Hell yes, because I wasn’t about to support Emperor Billigula’s bid for a second term by default.
