The Virginia shootings have rekindled the long-running debate on gun ownership in America with figures showing that there have been 247 mass shooting incidents in the US in 238 days so far this year.
While Americas attention was focused on the horrific murder of two young journalists in Roanoke, Virginia, another mass shooting on the same day saw four people wounded during a home invasion in Minnesota.
The figures for the multiple shootings have been compiled by GunsAreCool, a sarcastically named group which tracks gun violence in the US.

What mass shooting are they talking about? There hasn’t been one in Virginia since the Virginia Tech nut, has there?
What were numbers like before Obama racially inflamed blacks?
I guess it depends on how you define mass.
Chicago (aka BaraqqiVille) Illinois averages about 10 shootings per day, although they aren’t all in one location.
“What mass shooting are they talking about? “
The ones that never happened, of course.
By their daffynition it is when 4 or more, including the perp are shot(don’t have to be killed, just shot) in any one incident. They could lower their daffynition to 2 to make things even more serious and demanding much speedier action.
bit of black humor?
naturally, any ‘killing’ is regrettable
however, in a nation of between 300 and 400 million people,
one shooting per day ... is an amazing, almost miraculously tiny figure
and meanwhile, an armed public is all the stands in the way of our new ‘soft dictatorship’ from ‘transforming’ itself into the hard (IslamoNazi) dictatorship it would really like to impose on all of America
our Founding Fathers (who of course realized that some shootings can and will occur) were GENIUSES when they recognized and provided that “...the right of the Public to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”
that is not only a Divine right of the individual,
it is the very wisest, best-attainable public policy for society at large
It’s a “mass shooting” if they say it is...
Sadly, these shootings will continue until the liberals get our guns.
Ive come to believe they need a certain level of violence in this country. They are willing to accept a certain level of killing to further their political agenda. Wayne LaPierre
BINGO!
“What mass shooting are they talking about?”
The ones they dream and fantasize about carrying out: the executions of their political opponents.
I heard yesterday that one of the ways they pump the statistics is to include suicides using a gun as “gun violence.” which really jumps the figures. The commentator pointed out the suicide rate in the U.S. is actually much lower than a lot of other countries, but since people here tend to do it using a gun (rather than hanging, jumping off something etc), it makes it look bad.
This VA reporter shooting is very very fishy. If you look at the tape, you won’t find hardly any blood. No splatters no blood on the lady being interviewed and she had a white blouse. Is that possible with a point blank execution? The reporter chick didn’t notice anything until the guy was probably a couple feet next to her and the camera dude was even closer? Then the chick ran away, so where the blood?
Even worse the feds confiscated the BBC film.
This has to be a hoax.
I’ll bet the autopsy will be closed to the public.
This rash in cop killings and sensationalistic gun crimes is likely being run out of the WH. The idea is to start a race war, a war between the police and public, militarize and federalize local police, and then gun registration, gun confiscation.
I saw a comment somewhere that the gun grabbers use anything more than “two” to categorize a shooting as “mass”. Of course, if they’re using the Roanoke shooting, they’ve changed it to anything more than “one”.
yeah: )
Purposely mixing of terms. Mass Shootings?
The FBI defines and keeps track of mass murder events, which the define as the killing of 4 or more victims during a single or related event (not serial murder) beside the perp.
The activists and the media are purposely conflating the two.
Almost 6 people a day are killed in vehicle accidents in the United Kingdom each and every day according to statistics. Obviously licensing and current laws are not doing enough to reduce the carnage. Only when we ban vehicles will deaths on the motorways end. Everyone knows somebody affected by this senseless slaughter and all in the name of some convenience that politicians beholden to the automotive industry continue to support.
Charleston and the Washington Navy Yard come to mind.
If you look at their “guide book”, adjusting the rhetoric to satisfy your line of crap is perfectly acceptable. Or at least intimated therein:
