I think I can understand his motivation given that he’s in shock and feels the need to do something...anything. The worst of grief ...for a lost child.
A guy I work with is from Brazil. He said the drug cartels wanted gun control and got it. Now you can’t even go out to dinner without either a body guard or leaving your valuables at home.
The guy is trying really to cash in on his daughters death. I guess his acting career must have peaked.

I doubt its being “blinded by anger”. This guy probably already had a pro-gun control agenda, and now has a means to voice it and exercise it.
Doesn’t every psychopath planning a murder fully comply with all gun laws on the books? Surely that would prevent most all violence, right?
I’m not sure that is the case. I was stunned by the speed with which he raced to the cameras to denounce guns. His daughter’s body was still at the M.E.s and daddy was out there howling for NRA blood. From his tone and comments, I wouldn’t be surprised to find he was a long time contributor to Bloomberg-Brady et al. And that the phone lines were lit up between him and them the night of the killings. What a difference between him and the families of those poor people in Charleston. They asked for forgiveness, he demanded government control.
Maybe someone should pass a law. That’ll work.

I do not know but would like to find out if the facility where these murders took place was a "Gun Free" zone. Would one more violation make this better or worse for this grieving Father?
