The family of Kathryn Steinle — the woman whose shooting death sparked a national outcry over illegal immigrant crime — is filing a lawsuit against local and federal officials over her murder, according to reports.
Steinle family is slated to file the suit Tuesday and it will name San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, according to ABC7 News.
The sheriff’s department released alleged killer Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez from custody less than three months before Steinle was shot, ignoring an immigration detainer ICE had lodged against him. Sanchez is a seven-time convicted felon who had been deported from the U.S. five times. San Francisco’s sanctuary city policies have been blamed for the release.

I would be surprised if this hasn’t happened before, with so many other cases. There could be a class action lawsuit. It’s curious how there’s been so many deaths, and no doubt even more non-fatal crimes committed, yet never any action taken, it seems, which would force the government to obey the law.
Sanctuary Cities are all about money. Take away their money.
I hope they win and are awarded a billion dollars.

Whatever he was arrested for, should have been a violation of his parole.

I would add, we need a judicial review panel in the worst way.
Judges should come under review for malfeasance.
Where it can be justified, Congress needs to remove them.
The Steinle’s should also nail the San/Fran agencies who were stupidly subsidizing this criminal.

People who live in sanctuary cities ought to sue the city if harmed by an illegal alien welcomed by that city.
