“...man produces just 400 ppm CO2...”
I have no doubt that you know MUCH more than I about this, but I’ve read elsewhere that as a trace gas, the 400 ppm figure was total CO2, not the figure attributable to man.
Am I wrong on this?
Sorry, you are right- I misspoke- The total atmospheric CO2 stands at nearly 400 ppm- From an article dated in 1959, scientists calculated that the atmosphere had back then 2,300 billion tons of CO2 (which calculates out to roughly .03% of the atmosphere). Man being responsible for only 3.4% of that figure
