Senate Will Vote a 2nd Time to De-Fund Planned Parenthood, Which Sells Aborted Babies

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConell says the Senate will vote a second time to attempt to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business which has been caught in a series of videos selling aborted babies and their body parts.

The news comes after reports that the House of Representatives is planning a vote on legislation in a couple weeks that would de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The two votes would follow one the Senate had weeks ago, which saw Senate Democrats filibuster and block legislation to revoke $550 million in taxpayer funding.

While McConnell says the senate will hold another vote, he said it is unlikely that Congress will be able to de-fund Planned Parenthood because Senate Democrats will filibuster again and pro-abortion President Barack Obama will veto any bill that attempts to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Here’s more:

McConnell said that the Senate would vote again on defunding Planned Parenthood after a failed Senate vote last month, but he said that the votes are not there.

“We just don’t have the votes to get the outcome that we’d like,” he said. “Again, the president has the pen to sign it. If he doesn’t sign it, it doesn’t happen. But, yeah, we voted on that already in the Senate, we’ll vote on it again, but I would remind all of your viewers the way you make a law in this country, the Congress has to pass it and the president has to sign it.”

Ultimately, McConnell said de-funding Planned Parenthood will require a pro-life president who is willing to sign such a bill.

“The president’s made it very clear he’s not going to sign any bill that includes defunding of Planned Parenthood, so that’s another issue that awaits a new president, hopefully with a different point of view about Planned Parenthood,” McConnell said Monday on the Kentucky station WYMT’s “Issues and Answers.”

According to a report in The Hill, the House vote will take place when lawmakers return from their annual August recess after Labor Day. The House is expected to consider a couple of possibilities — including legislation to fully de-fund Planned Parenthood or a measure that would revoke funding for one-year, which might win more votes than complete de-funding and might have a better chance of passing in the Senate.

The Center for Medical Progress released a new video this morning — the 9th in its series of videos catching the Planned Parenthood abortion business selling aborted babies and their body parts. This latest video catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies — including one who “just fell out” of the womb.

Yesterday, the Center for Medical Progress released a supplemental video that sheds more light on the profit Planned Parenthood makes associated with the ale of aborted babies and their body parts.

On Friday, the Center for Medical Progress released the full, uncut video of the conversation between undercover investigators form CMP and top officials with StemExpress, which buys aborted babies and their body parts from Planned Parenthood. The full footage is of a shorter video that summarized the meetings earlier this week.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is planning a vote on legislation that would de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business, which has been caught selling aborted babies and their body parts. The vote would follow one the Senate had weeks ago, which saw Senate Democrats filibuster and block legislation to revoke $550 million in taxpayer funding.

Also, two committees in the House of Representatives have already launched investigations of Planned Parenthood. One committee is looking into whether or not the abortion business is breaking federal law by altering abortion procedures to better obtain aborted baby body parts for sale. Another committee, among other things, is investigating the Obama administration and whether there is any connection between it and the abortion giant.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform wants to know if the Obama administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services, provided any federal grants to Planned Parenthood that ultimately went to pay for the sales of aborted baby body parts and if they were used by Planned Parenthood to “support transactions involving fetal tissue.”

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all eight:

In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.” In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts. In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs. In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.” In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.” In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.” In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.” In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells “a lot of” fully intact aborted babies.

So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies.

Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana and Iowa’s governor has ordered a review of Planned Parenthood funding.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.

The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.

If not, time to abort the Senate and sell them.

He, Mitch, add the defunding to a major appropriations bill and then tell Obama that’s all he’ll get to fund some major part of the budget.

Obama has made the term “lame duck” obsolete, at least for Democrats.

What leadership! Take those US Senators up for election off to the side and let them know their lives will be a living hell during their campaigning if they enable the slaughter of the pre-born and just born!

Beyond disgusted.

The important thing here is if they don’t have the votes to override a presidential veto, at least it will put on record the despicable bastards who vote to fund PP even after their trafficking in butchered baby parts has been exposed for all to see.

The utter contempt that McConnell shows for Americans is no less than Obama’s.

The Auther of our Declaration might beg to disagree with the Democrats on their coercive insistence to force taxpaying individual citizens to fund their population control mechanism called "Planned Parenthood."

Jefferson: “To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

Until Republicans get rid of McConnell and Boehner there is no reason whatsoever to vote GOP. The party can restore some semblance of credibility only if it gives these two liars the boot. Will it do so? I seriously doubt it.

They're going about it backwards. Money can be spent only if it's included in a House appropriations bill. Instead of voting to defund, the House should simply pass a budget with no money for PP. Yes, it might be vetoed, but the Republicans have a majority in both houses. Such a bill could be passed with Republican votes only.

So Bitch says, “OK, we’ll go through the motions again, but it’s a waste of time.” If they can’t do this, they can’t do anything.
Down with the GOP-e!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConell says the Senate will vote a second time to attempt to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business...

Really? What was the outcome of the first vote? Who voted to continue funding PP?

The news comes after reports that the House of Representatives is planning a vote on legislation in a couple weeks that would de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The two votes would follow one the Senate had weeks ago, which saw Senate Democrats filibuster and block legislation to revoke $550 million in taxpayer funding.

Wait, now I'm reading that there actually wasn't a vote in the Senate?

While McConnell says the senate will hold another vote, he said it is unlikely that Congress will be able to de-fund Planned Parenthood because Senate Democrats will filibuster again and pro-abortion President Barack Obama will veto any bill that attempts to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Pretty slippery, Mitch. The bill was defeated even though no one actually voted on it. Filibustered and blocked by the Democrats, although no Dem actually stood up on the Senate floor and filibustered it.

McConnell said that the Senate would vote again on defunding Planned Parenthood after a failed Senate vote last month, but he said that the votes are not there.

Rather than giving up before you even try, Mitch, how about actually forcing the bill onto the floor anyway? No virtual filibusters this time, If the Dems want to defend eviscerating babies and keep their ghoulish meat market open, have them stand up in front of America and tell us loud and clear that they support infanticide.

We want actual names of actual Senators responsible for blocking this bill, Mitch. You might have more votes than you thought you did.

It’s a Stalinist show vote. McConnell is setting this up to fail because he wants PP funded.

All theater - Mitchell Monkey took care of that by re-instating the 60 vote filibuster.

What bull crap! There is only 1 month left in the current fiscal year. A vote to defund what? one month of funding? The next FY has yet to pass and is their opportunity not to fund it at all. Leave it out and they would have to get votes to put it back. If OBozo veto, then keep sending a funding bill without it. If the government (specifically HHS) shuts down, it’s all on him. What’s so hard about that Mitch?

McConnell is willing to have a 100 show votes on PP defunding (or anything else) that he knows will go nowhere. It’s attaching it to a “must pass” bill and then standing his ground that he absolutely refuses to do.

Exactly. I wonder if those 2 boneheads have realized yet that they are the very reason for the success of the anti-GOPe movement.

If they had done what they promised regarding Obamacare, and immigration, and budget, etc. I doubt that Trump would have ever gotten any traction. But here we are.
