Following the shooting of a sheriff in Houston, Texas by a black man as well as chants from Black Lives Matter protesters advocating violence against police, GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued a statement saying he is proud to stand with law enforcement.

While campaigning in New Hampshire, Cruz addressed the attacks. both physical and verbal, which have been made against police officers across America.

Cruz is calling for leadership to act against this assault on all law enforcement officers, in light of the killing of Harris Country deputy sheriff Darren Goforth, which took place in Cruz’s hometown.

Clown Prince nobama and his ilk despise the police...unless they are his “private” civilian force. Have you heard his comments about this murder? Crickets...

This is why there will be a demand for a “law and order” President in 2016 at the rate things are going.

Not a word from soetoro. Wonder if he'll send 3 representatives from the DOJ to commiserate with the Officer’s bereaved family like he did with the Gentle Giant?

He'll say we need more gun control.

And that is when it started, at least publicly.

Good, as far as it goes. I would have said something stronger.

The best part ------
We are seeing a manifestation of the rhetoric and vilification of law enforcement that is coming form the top — all the way to the President of the United States and senior administration officials.

Meh.

We have many more police than we need already.

I am for an armed citizenry.

Then the chattering class can vilify all they want but thugs still get funerals.

I will pass on the “law and order” president until we get one that secures the border first. Show me a president who fulfills the constitutional mandate to secure our citizenry from outside forces.

everyone remembers the idiot said the cop acted stupidly. But what blew me away was that just before that he said he was friends with the professor, and did not know the facts, but that the cop had acted stupidly.

One of the most stupid things ive ever heard a president say.

IF and when Obama makes a statement about this you can almost guarantee that he's going to say something about how it's a shame that law enforcement has so many perceived problems that this officers life had to be taken by someone who could identify with the pain of that victimization.

Securing the border is fluff for the low info gang.

There will never be a secure border because the worst of it comes in aboard jet liners, and walk the red carpet.

We have to secure the judiciary before we can do anything at all for the border.

It would be hilarious if the Secret Service got pissed off and were to walk off the job.

Securing the border is fluff for the low info gang.

There will never be a secure border because the worst of it comes in aboard jet liners, and walk the red carpet.

I was hit by an unlicensed illegal who totaled my car in 1992.
They deported him ( again) and he was back (again, and working for the same company) inside of two weeks. He didn't have the money to be flying in.

The problem with dishonest lying little weasels like you Editor-Surveyor is that you can't stop the people these illegals hurt from posting on forums. There are millions of illegals and they do a lot of crap to a lot of people.

My wife and infant child were in the car. Excuse me. My “low information wife and gang child” to classify them as Editor-Surveyor sees them. We were stuck at the back of a line of cars waiting in a left turn lane when a speeding Pickup swerved into the side of the little Taurus I was driving.

The guy couldn't speak English, had no license, no insurance, and no remorse.

Just one of your special pals Editor-Surveyor.

Sheriff Clarke is great. There isn’t a molecule of political correctness in that man.
