The U.S. ambassador to the Vatican said that during Pope Francis’ visit to the United States next month, he expects the Pope will urge the U.S. to embrace its history of welcoming immigrants.

Maybe but the thing is, it’s not just him.
The people that put him in power are as evil as he is. There is no way that they did not know who and what he was about before the smoke rose. Therefor, they will simply pick another like him. No different from the Democrats, Republicans or Euro governments.
People need to ponder that demonstrated reality and they simply fear the answers they will come up with for themselves.
The leadership has a far different view of the world than the people. In faith and in politics alike. And their view is Socialism as a stopgap to one worldism under communist governance. But we are not one people. We do not share common cause/values. So it must be forced on us.
I see it all backfiring big time. Proof, look at the high interest in Donald Trump.

We have 30-fecking-million illegals in this dying country! Francis, like any other Marxist, simply won’t be satisfied until the US is brought asunder.

We should open our hearts to everyone, and try to be as compassionate and charitable as we can be always. That’s not the same as opening our borders (yes, I know they’re already open).
That said, the Pope should be telling Latin American countries that they are responsible for the fact that their own citizens can’t find opportunity within their borders. This country has been extremely giving in the world, despite the popular international sport of bashing America as a selfish colonizing nation. It’s an extremely unfair and false characterization.
The Pope should also remember that millions suffer when there is political unrest, and we have been one of the major stabilizing factors in the world. Rapid demographic shifts, because of illegal immigration, weakens us. That’s neither fair, nor good for anyone.
Who would have believed that this Pope would have turned out to be one of the biggest commies in the world?
....Rather a country that NEEDS to be REBUILT.

I am a Catholic that has a few “issues” with this Pope.
Rather Catholics NEED to pray for him.
I saw the archbishop of San Antonio recently saying mass for 2500 women he was screaming angry supposedly for some kind of evangelical effect. But he had words about having visited illegals in local jail, women with babies. He said there is no way they could be considered a threat. he screamed that the pope was coming soon with a message for republicans
Then later he said something he wasn’t supposed to say as an aside, asking God to fix someone’s attitude He said it in Spanish, as he said half the mass.
It was shocking. More shocking was people applauded him and for the rest of the day when speakers said the archbishop was great for his other message people applauded. They didn’t rally behind the support for illegals but they sure did hear it.

Pope’s business is redeeming souls and voicing opinions on matters of faith. Outside of that, his opinion has as much weight as I do, NONE.

The USA has always had open doors for immigrants - legal immigrants. No nation does more to open it’s arms to those who wish to come as long as they do it within the law.
The illegal immigration is actually an invasion, not immigration and any invasion which threatens the well being of nation must be stopped.
Incidentally - the word “immigrant” actually refers to one here legally and we identify them with a green card for identification. The others are “aliens.”
And the Pope can pay their taxes for health care, schooling and welfare. He’s good for it.I’d say he could pay us about 18 Trillion USD, that would just about do it.
As a practicing Roman Catholic I feel I need to remind everyone that this institution has had all kinds of bad popes and when they forget the admonition “My Kingdom Is Not Of This World” .This church gets into all sorts of trouble. But survives.
These meandering homilys of This pope on temporal matters diffuse any theologic message Pope Francis offers. Snowballs should be thrown at those pointy hat supporters of his as well as opposition clearly expressed to those meanderings on any visit Francis may make here.
Geez, maybe the US should have prevented all though Italian Catholics from landing
