A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

An electability argument is the same thing the GOPe said about Romney. No one has proven themselves to be able to predict electability. It’s not easy to predict.

Carter and Bush Sr. had the name recognition and lost their presidential elections.

If Romney was hurt by the 47% line, Trump has 30 years worth of quotes that can be mined and used to smear him in ads, includes tons on video. No candidate provides more potentially damaging opposition research than Trump. This severely impairs his electability and I’d argue makes him the least electable candidate of the bunch.

Since Trump is offering to let all the “good” illegals back in after deporting them, and his written policy doesn’t even say he’ll deport them all, I’d argue he’s worse on immigration than Cruz. At least Cruz has said whoever stays will never have a path to citizenship. Trump hasn’t said if the ones he lets back in will get a path to citizenship.

Problem is I think one of these murdering illegals came in when he was 4 years old. While it’s great to have legal immigration that does background checks and keeps criminals out, if that kid came legally, he wouldn’t have been kept out. So the changes Trump is advocating would not have prevented some of these illegal alien crimes.

People should be asking themselves why the media isn't talking about that stuff....yet. After all if Carly Fiorina or Ted Cruz had once said that they don't want black guys counting their money, the media would be pounding away at it with great vigor.

I think he’s got a couple of ex-wives that agree with that assessment. Or really you can just start checking out his archives of interviews. He’s given many of the decades, and his positions constantly change. He’s agreed with Bush, he’s wanted Bush impeached, he’s agreed with Obama, he’s wanted Obama impeached. He has no core beliefs, other than himself. He knows he likes him a lot. Everything else is negotiable.

One of Trump’s ex wives recently said he’d make a great president. And the people who actually know him and work with him say he is a man of integrity who does what he says he’ll fo.

You throw around the word liar. Obama is a liar. If you asked me for his top ten lies, I’d be hard pressed not to list his top one hundred lies.

So what are the biggest lies Trump has told? In list form, please.

Trump wants a strong foreign policy and believes that it must include 7 core principles:

a. American interests come first. Always. No apologies.

b. Maximum firepower and military preparedness.

c. Only go to war to win.

d. Stay loyal to your friends and suspicious of your enemies.

e. Keep the technological sword razor sharp.

f.See the unseen. Prepare for threats before they materialize.

g. Respect and support our present and past warriors.

4.) Trump believes that captured terrorists should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals, which is the treatment they receive from the Obama administration.

5.) Trump makes the point that China’s manipulation of its currency has given them unfair advantage in our trade dealings with them. He says we must tax their imports to offset their currency manipulation, which will cause American companies to be competitive again, drive manufacturing back to America and create jobs here. Although he sees China as the biggest offender, he believes that America should protect itself from all foreign efforts to take our jobs and manufacturing. For example, Ford is building a plant in Mexico and Trump suggests that every part or vehicle Ford makes there be taxed 35% if they want to bring it into the U. S. This would cause companies like Ford to no longer be competitive when using their Mexican operations. They would therefore move manufacturing back to the U. S. where jobs would once again be created.

6.) Trump favors passage of NOPEC legislation (No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act – NOPEC – S.394), which would allow the government to sue OPEC for violating antitrust laws. According to Trump, that would break up the cartel. He also wants to unleash our energy companies to drill domestically (sound like Sarah Palin’s drill baby, drill?) thereby increasing domestic production, creating jobs and driving domestic costs of oil and gas down while reducing dependence on foreign oil.

7.) Trump believes a secure border is critical for both security and prosperity in America. He wants to build a wall to stop illegals from entering and help put controls on immigration. (And he says he’ll get Mexico to pay for the wall, which many have scoffed at, but given his business successes I wouldn’t put it past him.) He also wants to enforce our immigration laws and provide no path to citizenship for illegals other than that which is currently included in the law.

8.) Trump wants a radical change to the tax system to not only make it better for average Americans, but also to encourage businesses to stay here and foreign businesses to move here. The resulting influx of money would do wonders for our economy. He wants to make America the place to do business. He also wants to lower the death tax and the taxes on capital gains and dividends. This would put more than $1.6 trillion back into the economy and help replace the 1.5 million jobs we’ve lost to the current tax system.

‘So the changes Trump is advocating would not have prevented some of these illegal alien crimes.’

Please quote the statement/official position of the candidate who has vowed to do more than Trump to protect US citizens from the foreign invaders/criminals.

Every time he opens his mouth it’s a lie. He even admits he’s full of it. One of his mantras is: “When I say I’m buying, I’m selling. And when I say I’m selling, I’m buying.” He is a habitual liar. Lies about his finances, lied about our GDP, lies about his positions (at least half the time it must be lies since he waffles between both sides constantly). Lied about Ronda Rousey liking him. There really is nothing the guy won’t lie about.

It’s funny how much his supporters contrast him to Obama. They should be COMPARING them. Because really they’re the same. Two guys just making crap up trying to grow their cult.

I have absolutely no argument with that, I was for Cruz long before Trump came along. And I would still prefer Cruz as President however the political reality is that Cruz is still in single digits so far as support is concerned, while Trump is leading the pack.

Reagan was an actor acting. Trump was not an actor or a wrestler. He was just a egotistical moron making a fool of himself in a wrestling ring. Nice try, though.

You’re very fond of the words “pom poms” aren’t you. Just a bit fetishy on your part.

A truly moronic response on your part.

Not too unexpected, though.

Remember, it is your liberal hero selling the pom poms. Mine has more class than to lower himself to such a thing. Trump, on the other hand, knows how to appeal to the lower intellect.

You listed one actual (purported) lie, and the rest is smear. Do you even know what a lie is?

Here is a lie: if you like your healthcare/Dr, you can keep your healthcare/Dr.

Please stop spewing your hate-ridden smears and list some ACTUAL LIES. And while you’re at it, how about some lies that actually *matter*, as opposed to some he said/she said that I could not conceivably care less about, not even if you offered me big $ to try to care.

Worse, I think some are getting into Kim Jong Il territory in terms of worship.

I totally agree. What we are seeing is mindless worship of a liberal in a conservative forum. And we're attacked because we don't fall in line? lol!

No actually I listed multiple lies, you just can’t be bothered to admit who he is.

Here’s a very simple one. At one point he totally supported Bush, and then he said Bush should be impeached. Those both can’t be true. One of them he must have lied, possibly both.

He’s admitted he shouldn’t be trusted. When he says he’s buying he’s selling, when he says he’s selling he’s buying. So when he says he wants to put a wall up, he doesn’t.

This isn’t “he said/ she said”. This is Trump said/ Trump said the opposite. He always reversed himself eventually. Every single position you like him for taking now he’s been on the opposite side of, and he’ll be there again.

If you want to join the cult of personality that’s on you. After 6 1/2 year of Obama I’ve had enough cult in my politics.

So you really don’t have the slightest clue what a lie is.

Let me give you a hint. There are multiple webpages set up that do nothing but list Obama’s lies. You can locate them with any search engine and a simple string including the words, obama, lies, list.

Kindly direct me to a similar compilation of Trump lies. If he’s as big a liar as you claim, surely there is at least one page keeping track of the many falsehoods.

You know, people say this a lot: that they don’t believe Trump. So I say, show me your candidate’s most forceful statement on the incalculable human toll taken on American citizens by the invading horde. Cite for me where he has spoken up for the victims of murder, rape, child abuse/molestation, etc. Show me his vow to staunch the invading flood of criminals once and for all.

Show me where Trump said that.

If there’s somebody who doesn’t know what a lie is it would be Trump.

Here’s a compilation of political lies that includes a page for Trump:
http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

And there’s plenty of others too. He’s as big a liar as Obama.
