Trump takes Nashville by storm — with one pitch no other candidate would dare use

Although Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has been stretching out his lead in the polls, he’s still stumping hard and not taking anything for granted.

And a resounding straw poll victory Saturday could mean it’s paying off.

“Normally I wouldn’t say this but I need your frigging vote, do you understand that?” he told a crowd of loyal supporters in Nashville on Saturday.

Imagine Jeb Bush coming out with that? He’d get kicked out of the country club. Hillary Clinton? The feminists would figure out what “frigging” really meant, and get the vapors. Even regular-guy Scott Walker would probably never say it out loud — not into a microphone, anyway.

But Trump made it sound like a winner.

Trump is drawing a line that, with perhaps a couple of exceptions, others of the political and chattering class have been busy erasing for the past 60 years.

It is the line between those who came here legally, became citizens and wish their children to be Americans and those who are criminals.

My SIL married an American, came here legally, had two children, became a citizen and is highly involved in making her community a better place. She runs a food pantry, cleans up parks, is a pastor's wife and probably does a dozen other things I have no idea about.

Yet, by the political class and media she is considered EXACTLY the same as the gang member who sneaks across the border to torture and murder little old ladies.

More then that she is being used as an excuse to not go after the criminals.

When she pays attention to the news she is very annoyed by this but until now there has been no one running for national public office who was willing to draw a clear firm line between the two of them.

I get your point...however, to me, photographs and TV film shots are important in rounding out the news. One picture or one TV tape-capture or one film clip is worth a thousand words.

Folks who throw away their TV set out of "disgust" confound me.

For instance, to really know a Donald Trump one must SEE him speak and gesture and make facial expressions in addition to just reading what he says in print.

The leftist drumbeat on TV doesn't affect me as I'm trained in the ways of propaganda....and I'm adept at spotting it no matter how subtle. Years ago I even paid to take an excellent and detailed course in the history and methods of propaganda-making.

Therefore, if anything, TV propaganda as a political art fascinates me.....and I study it as a form of entertainment as well as education.

I would bet even the greatest men of the Bible used salty language but that didn’t stop God for using them for his purpose too.

Someone asked Ted Cruz about Donald Trump and his language. He responded by saying “Yes he has strong salty language” while he laughed and smiled. Ted Cruz knew Donald is being Donald.

‘No class.’

Apparently it takes a person with no class to be honest about what the foreign horde of invaders is doing to Americans. Has your oh so classy candidate ever mentioned the rapes and murders committed on US citizens by the foreign invaders?

Trump has.

You don’t hear any of the political candidates using even mild swear words. They are uber careful to be PC at all times.

I’ve been waiting for years for some candidate to stand up and say “we are going kick all the effing illegals out”.

LOL!

Well, there goes the church lady vote...

Good!

Trying to emulate little goody goody sissy schoolboys to try to appease the churchy crowd has been a huge factor in conservatism's decline.

Being a conservative doesn't mean you have to be a priss.

He is asking for people’s vote. He’s closing the sale. I cringe every time I see a candidate make a speech and not ask for people to vote for them. A. B. C. Always. Be. Closing.

Excellent observation.

Very well said, sir.

American Christians have evolved into ultra sensitive ninnies for some reason.

I'll never forget a post on FR a few years ago.

A poster linked a video on youtube in which the word "crap" was said. He included a "harsh language warning."

If conservatives are THAT sensitive and uptight, then there's no wonder why we've been getting our butts kicked by the Liberals.

It's not only that we're weak Nancy-boys, but most average Americans can't, and won't, relate to that kind of behavior.

Fantasywriter and Patton@Bastogne:

Patton was famous for his vulgar language. His job (and he did a magnificent job of it) was killing our nation's enemies wholesale. As a movement, we knew Patton historically. He was the anti-MASH, the antithesis of uberwimp Alan Alda. Patton was a friend of ours and of Western Civilization. Trump is NO Patton. Trump won't get the same pass if nominated. Nor should he.

My parents taught me manners. Your parents undoubtedly taught you manners. Even The Donald's parents taught him manners but he rebels against the very notion.

GeronL is advocating civilized standards and language in our culture. There is a difference between civilization and "political correctness" which threatens civilization.

Whatever else Trump may represent, he has very little "class." He is doing politics as performance art. If he took off his clothes on stage and smeared himself with melting chocolate, his supporters would make lame arguments for how brilliant such behavior really is.

Trump's supporters ought to expect more of a candidate. He is capable of making serious policy proposals as indicated by his release of his policy proposals on immigration. Now let's hear a similar level of specifics on:

Baby-killing, SCOTUS and other fedcourt nominations, eliminating OBOZO/Romneyare, environmental policy including winding down the EPA, giving up the excessive fedcontrol of Western land, the right to keep and bear arms, kicking ISIS's collective patoot and finishing the SOBs off once and for all together with finishing off their Islamofascist brethren, restoring America's "greatness" as the sole remaining superpower in world affairs, restoring the US industrial base whether the wussies of Wall Street like it or not, restoring the funding of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force to Reagan era levels such as a 600 ship Navy, dealing with the menace that is the United Nations (united against us), enforcing the right of Americans to freedom of worship as included in the First Amendment, public recognition that our rights as Americans come from God and not from government (which has the obligation to secure those rights), etc. ,etc., etc.

Getting to work on those and other priority issues should take precedence over making an embarrassing low-rent fool of himself with linguistic temper tantrums about how Megan Kelly had blood coming from her eyes or her "wherever."

I would also like some serious explanation of his prior support of "single payer" Obozo/Romneycare, abortion on demand, allowing a "transgender contestant to compete in his "Miss" Universe competition, his apparent prior weakness on RTKBA, how he would never appoint the likes of his militant pro-abort federal judge sister to ANY judgeship, an how he came to change his mind on these and so many other issues. Is he consciously pandering to the base or, as with Reagan on abortion, did he genuinely change his mind and, if so, why?

I refused to vote for one "Republican" Obozo in whiteface known as Mitt Romney. I think I agree with Trump a lot more than I ever could or did with Romney. OTOH, recognize that Trump will lose many votes unless he cleans up his act and his mouth and emphasizes detailed substance over flash. Neither Obozo nor Romney were adequately vetted. How did that work out?

I don’t agree with Trump about the same as Romney.

I didn’t vote for Romney.

After 2012 a lot of FReepers said they would never vote RINO again, a lot of FReepers said they would only vote for a real true blue conservative.

TRUMP does not even come close to being conservative.
