Do you people even examine the sources you quote?

CTH, as Princess abbreviated it, did get that information from somewhere.

Don't you know from WHERE?

I would quote the pertinent portion directly from the actual legal filing (a lawsuit) which is the source, but it is available to myself only in a pdf which I cannot copy/paste from.

But here YOU go, both of you.

Here is the context which CTH provided for the "thousands of rounds" claim;

Conservative Treehouse did NOT claim that police fired thousands of rounds as if that was actual fact

Whoever it is that is the plaintiff =Don Carlos restaurant= who is suing Twin Peaks was the one who made the claim. And THAT is an actual fact.

Conservative TreeHouse accurately conveyed that information embedding link to the pdf which was the source of the claim.

Here's the link for the 3rd time, unembedded, unadorned http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/wacotrib.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/8/eb/8eb01748-fffd-11e4-a4eb-83f98935a085/555e497a47bc9.pdf.pdf

Whether or not the police fired "thousands of rounds" I couldn't say. But that does appear (sound to be? no pun intended) to be awfully excessive. Yet still, CTH did not themselves make the claim.

This very issue I thought had been put to rest previously, by hands more capable than my own.

But here it comes popping up again.

You owe us a retraction this time, Princess gator parakeet tail-feathers.

Now hand it over, and be quick about it.

Then, after providing that retraction to all of us here, giving some form of acknowledgement instead of simply more of your usual gaming of the system, as it were, if there is anything else which you think may support the allegation you made against CTH, then bring it, and we'll all look at it, and see; is your contention accurate, and if whatever it may be matters in how it is attempted to be applied.

Nothing new there. I posted all that and showed how CTH faked the quote the day CTH put out the article.

CTH absolutely said that police fired thousands of rounds.

CTH absolutely said that police killed nine.

“Conservative Treehouse did NOT claim that police fired thousands of rounds as if that was actual fact “

Hear is the headline. Posted as fact. I see no disclaimers.

Waco “Twin Peaks” Shooting Updates: 14 Police Officers Fired “thousands of rounds” on 200 Bikers Killing 9, Wounding 18

Duh. The link claims the shootout started among the gangsters but CTH headlines police kill nine!

Pure internet BS.

The byline of the article is a statement that all the dead were shot by police. There is no evidence of this given in the article, either at the time of publication or in any of the numerous revisions to support that.

Putting quotes around "thousands of rounds" doesn't relieve a "journalist" from some due diligence to write the truth. If that was was the case, Dan Rather would still be on TV since all he was doing was quoting false statements in false documents.

Awesome post. I had to dash out the door; so my reply was pretty lame. Thanks for nailing it down.
