Trump can do it because he is insane, lol. Kind of enjoying that.

Lol! I compare it to driving by an accident scene on the highway. You can’t help but slowing down and looking....in this case watching Trump on his press conferences. They are insane, but you can’t help watching and cheering. Finally, somebody who wants us to be #1 again and have victories. This is who we are.

We have been longing for this for the last 25 years.

Do you think Cruz would be in the top three if Trump weren’t in the picture.

Cruz is generally thought to be in "fifth" place now - so I think him being in the top 3 had Trump not entered is reasonable. But when you change one thing, all kinds of other factors change too. Nothing happens in a vacuum. Without Trump, it would be an entirely different ballgame.

Having said that, I think there's no doubt that Trump's big personality has made some people forget that Cruz has been fighting many of these same fights far longer than Donald has. I also think there are a LOT of folks who are Trump-Cruz in that order - many who used to support Cruz but who now think Donald's fearless in your face persona is the best alternative.

If Trump declines, rapidly or slowly, I think those two categories would gravitate towards Cruz in far greater numbers than they would towards anyone else for sure.

Another theory I have is this - that Trump was not in it to win it initially, but that he certainly is now. I never believed that Trump and Cruz were in any kind of teamwork structure - but even if that were true, it is not true now.

¡Yeb! was supposed to be the Designated Loser.
The RNC has a playbook that can nominate even the most unlikeable candidates, see Romney and McCain.
They had flooded the field with so many candidates for the most unlikeable ¡Yeb! to be able to squeek through to the nomnation. Notice that they have candidates to run as favorite sons in many of the critical states.
Without Trump, they would have nominated ¡Yeb! right into the teeth of their voters, trying to make sure they had no choice but to vote to turn the USA into North Mexico.

The Cheap LAbor Express is terrrified that we willelct somone that will shut them down.
They have spent billions trying to prevent the citizens from doing just that.

Trump is the bull in the china shop, be it the shop of political correctness, establishment elites, Libs/Dems/Progs or the enemedia. He’s swinging his (very large) horns and breaking things. There is no ring (crony donors) in his nose for anyone to grab so they can control him. Personally, I love bulls (follow PBR) and those that compete are smart - they sense a rider’s weakness & take advantage of it. They are large and in-charge, great athletes, full of explosive energy and dangerous. The pantywaist GOPe doesn’t have a clue what to do with Trump and neither does anyone else. The more “buckoffs” Trump gets, the more his confidence grows - he’s realized he can win this and he’s getting more serious on policy matters, etc. & chasing competitors up the fences or out of the arena. I’m looking forward to when he turns those wicked horns on Hillary (he hooked Huma/Weiner last night & gave them a toss). He’s got Jeb hunkered down in a clown barrel & is rolling him around the arena every time he pops his head up for a look around. I’m really enjoying it all very much.

Ted has taken a beating from the press and even though he gives as good as he gets, it’s hard to battle the networks full time. Trump can do it because he is insane, lol. Kind of enjoying that.

I've been trying to explain why Cruz would be destroyed by the media, whereas Trump is bullet proof. And you nailed it. He's "insane." Lol. I can't stop laughing. Bing Bing Bing.

Jeb is an intellectual

Disagree. An intellectual does hard thinking. Jeb does thinking hard.

I always enjoy reading your posts.

I LOVE that Trump’s celebrity brought these issues to the fore even though Cruz has addressed almost all of them already. You are right about that.

But he was a “crazy right winger” whereas Trump is seen as a man of the people. You are right. Nothing happens in a vacuum.

I guess if Trump stays in and gets the nomination i will always wonder if it could have been Cruz.

But I’ll vote for Trump over pantsuit, the communist, and crazy uncle Joe

LOL.

It reminds of the movie “Network”, i think it was called.

“I’m mad as heck and I’m hot gonna take it anymore!!” lol

Of course things didn’t end to well for that guy.

Trump better have great protection.

Great analogy.

I HATE Huma and the hubby. Trump is saying out loud alot of the things I think. lol.

Cruz is great but he’s sane and needs donors so he can’t go all Bull in a China shop like Trump.

Would love to see Trump pick Cruz as VP. Would give him street cred with conservatives.

Not only does Trump have moderates and independents—and some enthusiastic hopefulness from conservatives—I believe Trump will get black votes and some Democrats.

Whether you agree or not that he is an intellectual, he is still boring.

"Jeb has a foot-in-mouth problem, and it's seriously hurting him"

I think this is a very unfair headline and premise given that English is Yeb's second language.
