Big-donor money is seeking better ways to attack Trump. The GOPe cronies (and Dem cronies) are taking Trump seriously now.
Also if Trump heads the ticket RINO House and Senate candidates will need more money.

“And yet...nobody will vote for him outside of a handful of CoC types.”
I said something similar way back in June.

“Thats exactly why Jeb wont be the nominee. He not only needs cash from rich business owners, he needs votes and hes not going to get the votes.”

John Kasich - the numero uno suck-up to sodomites.
Well, at least the fags will come out for him.
But John will still take it in the shorts.

“Eventually, Marco Rubio will emerge to take over Jeb’s role.”
Somebody once wrote a song about this sort of thing ... IIRC, it was ‘Send in the Clowns’

“Jeb’s role” would more likely be taken over by Kasich if Jeb continues to crater. Rubio will be responsible at least partially for Jeb’s cratering by refusing to “wait his turn” and allow Jeb to have his, however, same as he did against Crist...he is twice out of favor with the establishment...but due to his own folly of originally aligning himself with that terrible bill in 2013, those that would support him are cautious about the man they used to like and he’s just in the background as a possible “second choice.” But for that, he might be in a much better position now...actions have consequences.

Perhaps...maybe this is just wishful thinking that it is a sign he may be on the way out.

Definitely so. There will be a lot of that. One reason for enthusiasm around here for the Trump success is that it is showing up Jeb. Now that Trump is doing fundraisers (I guess it's a trend, maybe not) it's likely that the field will thin, and fast. He doesn't *need* to fundraise, but once he starts, a lot of people are going to board that train, forcing the many lesser candidates to hang it up. Jeb will be in it until the convention or perhaps just short of it.
