Except she's not glamorous - not even close. The shocking thing is that the residual effect of years of media adulation have convinced millions of people that she IS glamorous, whereas she's actually an annoying, dishonest, prickly, humorless, heavy-thighed frump.

Glamorous as in being immersed in the world’s idea of glamor. That isn’t the same as beautiful (as you point out very well, it can be very ugly). I think the word glamorous is apropos.
