Sen. Lindsey Graham’s presidential campaign has had a tough time getting traction so far, and a new Quinnipiac University poll keeps him in the conversation about who might be the first of the 17 Republican presidential candidates to fold.
But do his low poll numbers suggest the end is near?
The poll released Thursday showed nothing new: The South Carolina Republican has been unable to differentiate himself from other candidates in any way. But the national poll — which says that 13 percent of Republican or leans-Republican voters said they’d never vote for him and zero percent said they would vote for him — shows that things are not improving.
Even “someone else” polled at 1 percent (cue the joke about how hard it would be to find someone else who isn’t already in the race). The highest Graham polled nationally was at 2 percent, according to Real Clear Politics.
In Graham’s home state, he’s polling at 5 percent, and in New Hampshire, where he hoped to get a bump from the prior success of his buddy, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Graham is polling only at 1 percent, according to Real Clear Politics averages.
And his campaign, centered on hawkish defense positions, has now largely devolved into a sideshow of Graham vs. GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

But nobody cares about him at all! He has very little influence other than in the US Senate, and that means nothing.
It's a beautiful thing to see him fail! He looked scared to death in that first debate anyway. Apparently all that practice being on EVERY Sunday news show didn't do him any good at all.

Lindsey Graham is nothing more than YESTERDAY’S news.
Well, he has been able to establish himself as the only candidate who is obviously gay.
I agree. I have no respect for him whatsoever.
He has tried so many times to undercut the GOP agenda in the Senate. it’s not that he’s a moderate. On a number of issues, he’s got a fairly conservative record.
But he’s reached across the aisle waaay too many times and after a while, enough is enough!
As happy as I was about the 2014 election results, one of my great disappoints was that Graham didn’t lose his primary.

He gets to keep all unexpended campaign contributions when he retires. He’s running for a really cushy retirement, not President.
If you round off Linda’s latest polling data it comes out to 0%. Bwahahahahaha.

He can stay on the race as long as Bush’s PAC will fund him. Maybe SC will finally elect a conservative and send Grahm home when his term is completed.

Long enough to collect a few million in his ‘war chest’ and then use it to pay himself consulting fees for the rest of his worthless life

No, because Lindsey is ‘running’ as part of the Jeb! strategy to dilute any votes that might go to Jeb!’s rivals.
He can’t drop until after the South Carolina primary or the real Jeb! rivals (Cruz, Walker, Trump) could get votes that Lindsey would siphon off.
Lindsey will stay in, along with the other players in the GOPe scheme to secure Jeb! the nomination.
The only real threat to Jeb! and his cabal at this point is the unexpected popularity of Trump.
Lindsey and Lincoln, maybe try some face tattoos.
The reason he won re-election is that there was no opposition candidate with name recognition.
How long? As long as the money continues to rolls in.
