Mexico warns Texas not to refuse its immigrants' babies U.S. birth certificates

The Mexican government is warning that Texas’ denial of birth certificates for U.S. children born here to undocumented immigrants stands to imperil the relationship between Mexico and the Lone Star State.

The concern was raised in an amicus brief filed Monday evening to lend support to immigrants parents who sued Texas after being denied birth certificates for their U.S.-born children, even after showing their “matrículas,” the ID cards issued by the Mexican consulate to undocumented immigrants.

They’ll turn the Alamo into a prenatal clinic for illegals if this keeps going as it is.

I am confused.

The following is the procedure in Texas:

Who is responsible for filing the birth certificate?

The physician, midwife, or person acting as a midwife in attendance at a birth shall file the birth certificate with the local registrar of the registration district in which the birth occurs. If a birth occurs in a hospital or birthing center, the hospital administrator, the birthing center administrator, or a designee of the appropriate administrator may file the birth certificate in lieu of the physician, midwife, or person acting as a midwife in attendance of the birth.

If there is no physician, midwife, or person acting as a midwife in attendance at a birth and if the birth does not occur in a hospital or birthing center, the following in the order listed shall report the birth to the local registrar:
1.The father or mother of the child; or
2.The owner or householder of the premises where the birth occurs

If these children need a matriculas from the Mexican Counsel to prove the child was born in Texas, I assure you the child was not born in Texas. This is a scam perpetrated on Texas by Mexico.

Maybe Mexico means they’ll quit sending illegals to Texas.

My answer to that is to do the same to these as Mexico would do to citizens of the USA in Mexico illegally - they would be treated as the criminals they are - not rewarded with citizenship for their children.

Bingo!

County Judge Asks State to Resolve Birth Certificate Issue
Dallas County Clerk John F. Warren told The Texas Tribune he couldn’t confirm exactly when his office was made aware it wasn’t following state guidelines.
“In a recent audit of our business processes, it was discovered that we were not in compliance with the guidelines from Texas Department of State Health Services,” he said.
Jenkins added that Dallas County’s Parkland Hospital aids parents in obtaining birth certificates for the children born there.
“We don't need outside documents to know who gave birth to whom at our county hospital,” Jenkins said.

Snip...Though Dallas County made the change recently, others have rejected the matrícula consular for years. El Paso County stopped accepting the ID in 2008 after it was made aware that the state health department didn’t consider the ID a secure document.

If I were the governor:

All border crossing going into Mexico would be shut down in 30 days. Only citizens of Mexico would be allowed to pass into Mexico from Texas. Only citizens of the US would be allowed to cross into Texas. I would also see about the legalities of limiting the transfer of funds via wire/bank transactions etc. to Mexico. I would order the closing of the Mexican consulates in Texas.

Your move Mexico.

I work DoD and $1M is million and $1k is thousand.

I’d be fining Mexico and any other country $1M per illegal. If the 11M illegals from Mexico were correct which it isn’t, that would be 11,000,000,000,000 or $11T which is a pretty good start on deficit reduction plus they’d have to be deported. $2M second time around if they come back etc.

Migrating to America legally is, and should be, a thorough procedure meant to protect the interests of American citizens. It involves more than simply jumping a fence and heading north in pursuit of free health care, education, food stamps, and other handouts paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

We can no longer afford to “split the pot” with everyone who wants a piece. America is struggling enough as it is. Most of us are making below living wage and just had our health insurance forcefully taken away. I make 60k per year and my healthcare is up to $400 per month; compare this to my $25/month car insurance (from Insurance Panda) or my $13/month renters insurance from Gotham. Both private enterprise (take note, Obama).

Legal immigration means enduring rigorous hurdles like background checks to detect a criminal background or possible ties to terrorists; medical examinations to detect diseases still prevalent in third-world nations, but long since eradicated here; proof of financial solvency so as to prevent newcomers from becoming a burden on U.S. taxpayers.

Those who have jumped a fence into America in order to avoid our immigration checks are not immigrants. Rather, they are invading criminals, with no claim whatsoever to the welcome mat extended to legal immigrants.

Such people do not deserve recognition or sanction by the United States, and should be rounded up and deported as soon as possible, without exception.

In truth, illegal aliens have invaded our nation, leaving America vulnerable to undetected crime, terrorism, disease, and financial devastation at the hands of people with no legal or moral justification for being here.

“Warns”??? What is mexico going to do...invade Texas.

They already have. Texas should ask them if that if Mexico dooen't want to "imperil their relationship", they should stop dumping their underclass up here.
