In a case regarding a specific gun control law which bans “unauthorized aliens” (illegal immigrants) from possessing firearms in the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit did the work of a contortionist by upholding the law while also pointing out that they “see no principled way to carve out the Second Amendment and say that the unauthorized (or maybe all noncitizens) are excluded.”
In a word—illegal immigrants have Second Amendment rights too.
The case was titled United States v. Meza-Rodriguez, and the decision was handed down on August 20.

If illegal aliens have Constitutional civil rights, then what legal basis would have to say, restrain the entire People’s Liberation Army from simply walking into the country - armed - as long as they wear civilian clothing and insist they are just coming for “work”?

In my humble opinion, illegal alien foreigners and their children have NO rights of US citizenship what-so-ever, unless they LEAGALY naturalize which means, ‘here’s a pen, a form, and a forever stamp; now go back to your place of origin and start over. Bye now.’

An illegal alien may come from a country where these rights were infringed, its sad but that may be the case. That does not change the fact that an illegal alien is here illegally and needs to be deported.
