I would take this to federal court. We’ll see what happens.

This is incredible and is getting very little coverage.

We are going to find many such “rulings” and regulations years from now that were started by this administration.

Yeah, well before I go boo-hooing for McDonalds and Burger King, I’ll remember these liberal democrat corporations have been kicking conservative values to the curb for years.

I doubt anybody that follows the franchise model is too worried about this. In the court of public opinion and the market place they’ve ALWAYS been held responsible for franchise owners’ actions. The headline never reads “franchise owner breaks law”, it always reads “McDonalds accused”. So it’s always been in their best interest to make sure franchisees follow the law. It’s companies that subcontract stuff that fear this. Now every office building and their tenants needs to make sure the janitorial company they use follows all the laws. That’s where this one is going to get painful.

I can’t wait for all those temp’s at all the LAW FIRMS I go to, to START Filing Wage and Employment discrimination suits against the Biggest L:aw Firms in the World. If I read this correctly, they are now Considered EMPLOYEES, and the Law Firms will be LIABLE!

This is not going to seriously impact small business franchises. Especially those franchises that are run as true franchises, i.e. where the franchisers have the ability to run their stores with greater autonomy.

To those large corporations that use the franchise model to pretend that they are a large group of small businesses in order to skirt labor laws I say: Screw 'em.

Large corporations will find some other way to keep their expenses low with the help of bought and paid for congresscritters.

And if they are too stupid to figure out to screw the American taxpayer, then to hell with them.

Roy Croc (the founder of that toxic fast food chain) and his heirs are/were Democrats and heavy Democrat donors.

The idea that McDonalds says “They wear our uniform but they are not our employee” has always been bogus.
