OK, This Trump Thing Isn’t Funny Anymore

As his poll numbers steadily keep him in a comfortable first place in the crowded GOP field, and he packs stadiums—receiving raucous applause in Alabama and along the Mexican border—his fiery and divisive rhetoric has taken on a new meaning. His positions have now become the focal point of the GOP field and all candidates must respond to Trump before they can proceed.

What he and his supporters say can no longer be considered a joke. During his rally in Mobile, Alabama screams of “white power” could be heard from the audience. And last week, two white ex-cons from Boston beat up a homeless Hispanic man, and upon their arrest they told the police, “Donald Trump was right, all these illegals need to be deported.”

The problem is that Trump supporters know what all the other candidates stand for.

And the race pimps claimed that the TEA Party people spit on the Black buffoons accompanying Pelosi and her giant gavel into the Capitol the day Obamacare passed. There was no evidence of that, but the media regurgitated the lie ad nauseum. They lie more often than they tell the truth.

I don’t think that’s entirely true.

I think there’s an element of voters (and FR members) who love nothing more than to hear a candidate huff, puff and wave his arms around. They think it’s funny to hear Trumpet call other people names. The louder and more outrageous, the better is how a large number of Trumpet supporters feel.

I’ve seen nothing of substance come from Trumpet in regards to policy matters - just loud undefendable gusts of hot air.

But sadly enough here on FR, there are a lot of people who aren’t getting the joke. They love the bombast, the arm-waving and the red-meat attacks but by large, many of them have no real idea what Trump stands for or let me rephrase that, what he currently “stands” for.

Well....Those of us that aren't getting the "Joke" know that most of the other main Republican candidates could easily fit running as Democrats.

The real "Joke" in this election are the candidates who repackage "more of the same" and call themselves Conservatives.

Um. No. The reality is finally dawning on these guys, instead of going to the "acceptance" stage of grief, they are back to anger.

I don't doubt there aren't a few nuts out there in any campaign---can you say "Black Lives Matter?" Can you say, "Crazed Black Homosexual Shooter?" But we also know there are plenty of plants from the DNC and, I suspect, the Bush camp.

I've been to a dozen Tea Party rallies or events. I never once heard anyone shout "white power" or hold up an offensive sign.

So I file this under more hysteria from the Left. Go Trump!

I think some reporter claimed to hear the white power remark from one or two people. But as others have said it would be easy to misinterpret with all the crowd noise. Or, the reporter could be flat out lying. Desperate people do desperate things.
