Have another cup, my FRiend. You no doubt realize by now that Derek Jeter played baseball, not football!
I think Ann Coulter and maybe even Laura Ingraham have both told him to tone down the 3 AM tweets, and I think you’ll see that.
“What other journalists want to be publicly humiliated like Megyn Kelly and Jorge from Univision?”
Not to mention the free air time Trump gets from each incident. As they say, there’s no bad publicity.
>> Derek Jeter played baseball, not football!
Boy is my face red! :-)
If one thing has been proven, Donald Trump is NOT his own worst enemy. Do these people have a clue?
<><><><
At this point, I don’t think we have enough data to make the statement you make above.
Trump is in a brand new arena, trying to master the political universe. He’s clearly doing very well right now, but we’ve seen enough front runners come down to earth and then disappear, some, like Herman Cain, who were also new to the political universe.
Go have another cup
>> Jeter played football ????
Yeah. He did.
BOB Jeter, that is: https://www.google.com/#q=jeter+packers+football
Clearly, I was seven or eight playing cards short of a full deck this AM...
Up until today, he is NOT his own worst enemy. And he can’t compare to Herman Cain who was hamstrung by Gloria Alred. I don’t see Trump being hamstrung by anybody at this point much less that creep.
It’s all about perception.
My guy, Ted Cruz, has two personas.
One is the constitutional conservative who will fight his own party.
The other is the loving christian family man.
Trump has at least three personas.
One is The Donald.
The brash, flamboyant billionaire whose ego and braggadocio knows no bounds.
The man who can say anything at anytime just because he wants to.
The New York street fighter who doesn’t back down.
The second is the cold, calculating business man who swims with the sharks and wins.
He knows his name is The Brand and won’t let others get the best of him in a business deal.
The third, and least known, is Trump the family man.
Divorced, but still on decent terms with his first wife.
His children have avoided the traps many children of the wealthy fall victim to.
No sex tapes starring them have surfaced.
No arrests for drunken behaviour.
They appear to be well raised, successful people.
Ted Cruz is a “here I am, this is all there is to see” type of person.
I don’t view that as a bad thing.
In fact, simple person I am, I like it.
Donald Trump changes his persona to fit the situation like he changes jackets for different occasions.
He wears the personality appropriate for the occasion.
I don’t view that as a negative.
He gets the most out of who he is.
Cruz’s turned me off with his nonsense about “Legal immigration is good, only illegal is bad.”
So you want no immigration at all?
I don’t mind limited legal immigrants.
We end up with people like Einstein, a true genius.
And Nicola Tesla who saved us from Edison’s love of DC power.
It was the sons of immigrants who helped defeat Hitler and Tojo.
I am a descendant of immigrants. Most of the people in this country are.
Legal immigrants with an education and the desire to assimilate should be welcomed on a limited basis.
It’s the illegals who refuse to assimilate, who suck the wealth of the country and demand we accept them who bring no value to our society.
So, yes, legal but limited is good.
Illegal is very bad.
Cruz didn’t say what you’re saying.
Behold the new, slightly more successful, narrative the GOPe is trying to float.
Personally, I have no problem with the Donald launching pre-emptive strikes against identifiable enemies, nor conducting mopping-up operations against defeated foes.
Horse hockey. He's got a fine temperament in management mode. But in media mode, he has to think like a general.
Exactly! This wasn't an analysis; it was a postulate.
"Donald Trump appears to have an out-of-control ego in need of constant feeding, which is coupled with no ability to control himself."
It would seem there are a few FReepers of equally delicate sensibility ;)
I said what *I* said.
My viewpoint.
And I presented it as my viewpoint.
Do you have a link to what Cruz said about immigration?
Or are you harping on the same old H1B amendment he submitted to a bill?
BTW, you didn’t answer my question.
Are you against all immigration?
Do you want us to throw the baby out with the bath water?
Seal all borders air tight and let no one in?
