Ted Cruz Becomes the Second GOP Candidate to Attack Megyn Kelly [Watch Video]

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz criticized Fox News’ Megyn Kelly for asking a question about deporting illegal immigrants that “every mainstream media liberal journalist wants to ask.”
The Hill:
If you have a husband and wife who are illegal immigrants, and they have two children here who are American citizens would you deport all of them? Would you deport the American citizen children? Kelly asked.
Megyn, I get that thats the question you want to ask, Cruz said after repeatedly listing the steps Congress should take for addressing the issue. Thats also the question every mainstream media liberal journalist wants to ask. They focus exclusively on 12 million people.
Kelly then took issue with Cruzs response, insisting that her question was fair.
Is it an unfair question? she asked the Texas lawmaker.
It is a distraction from how we actually solve the problem, Cruz responded. You know, its also the question that [President] Barack Obama wants to focus on.
But why is it so hard? Why dont you just say yes or no? Kelly countered.
Cruz argued that the U.S. must secure its borders and overturn Obamas executive order on immigration before addressing the issue of birthright citizenship and related deportations.
Cruzs remarks come as Kelly is also feuding with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination next year.
Trump has repeatedly challenged Kellys credibility as a journalist following her questioning of him during the first GOP presidential debate earlier this month.
Cruz and Trump have repeatedly struck a friendly tone toward one another while campaigning for next years election.
Cruz has vowed he is avoiding Republican-on-Republican attacks because it is counterproductive to the conservative cause.

Kelly asked a question that many people want an answer to; i.e., specific policy proposals regarding how deportation is going to work. Sure it’s a hard question, but Cruz was obviously unprepared to answer it. So instead of making a fumbling and mumbling response, he attacked the messenger. No doubt good politics but it hardly recommends him as a candidate who can stand the gaff of a long campaign.
The idea that it’s a “liberal journalist” question to wonder how deportation is going to work in the real world is laughable. Are reporters not allowed to ask for any specifics regarding policy? Are they supposed to be fawning sycophants like news personalities at MSNBC and CNN?
Kelly is not going to put on a short skirt and wave pom-poms for the GOP base. She is doing her job, and judging by her ratings, she is doing it well enough for millions of people to tune in every night. She asked a perfectly fair question of someone who wants to be elected to the highest office in the land. Perhaps it’s time for Cruz and Trump to abandon the cheap applause lines attacking journalists and speak intelligently to the issues.
What a change that would be.

Cruz will learn. He might as well have said “yes, you are a bimbo Megyn.

I think it would be a hoot if he said, “I promise not to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo.”
The message would be, “...even if we all know she is one.”

Something is silly about this. I have not found the clip to watch. Cruz has refused to answer some immigration questions, which is shame on him. Dismissing the question as liberal is shooting himself in the foot. Criticizing Kelly for her gotcha questions and apparent vendetta is fair game. I quit supporting Cruz because he has refused to answer question about what to do with the 30-60 million illegal aliens in the U.S., plus his call to increase H1B by 500%. Shame on him if he still won’t answer.

How is that attacking her? It's not, of course. He responded to her question, forcefully, and re-directed the conversation away from her gotcha question, and towards the actual, substantive issues. THAT is how you handle those sorts of questions.

The problem is that it is too easy to distract the public with sentimentally based traps in the form of a question. They want us to focus on little doe-eyed children, rather than the hordes of drug dealing criminals that are infiltrating through our borders. We will lose this country if we lose sight of what we need to do to put a stop to this. Megan is not nearly as smart as she thinks she is, or she would see this herself. It’s not her job to do what the MSM will do anyway, it’s her job to bring out the truth in the situation. She’s trying to undermine Trump and Cruz with cheap trick questions that will make them divert from what they need to tell us.

He just didn’t like Kelly trying to expose how pro-amnesty he is.

Sen. Cruz never attacked Kelly. She tried to get Cruz to answer yet another gotcha question and he chose to outline his policy.
She has Jorge Ramos on tonight and it will probably turn into another attack Trump session.

Kelly is not going to put on a short skirt and wave pom-poms for the GOP base. No, she will just wear plunging necklines and post suggestive pictures of herself all over the Internet. She sells one thing but argues when someone doesn't pretend she is completely professional.

I thought Cruz was off his game during that interview. But for Moran to say Cruz and Trump don't answer questions or discuss issues clearly (and just attack journalists) is absurd. They are probably two of the most accessible candidates on the circuit.
In fact Trump answered the very question Moran is writing about, the night before with O'Reilly.

I agree. Why is it so hard to say that any hardship on a child citizen, be it a trip down south with his parents or a trip to the orphanage, is squarely on the shoulders of his law-breaking parents. Further, Deporting illegals is a winning issue and there is no reason to dance around it unless Cruz doesn’t think we should deport them. That troubles me.

No wonder she's on TV, as a lawyer it's clear she'd never get work.

OK, what should be the right way to answer the question -— DO YOU WANT TO TEAR UP FAMILIES?
To: DoughtyOne
Kelly deliberately failed to mention the name Cruz at the end of the debate. What a POS.

Thus Megyn proves she's just another liberal NY moron. They ARE NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE BORN HERE! Under current law, they are. There is an open question as to whether changing that would require a Constitutional amendment or whether it can be changed by an act of Congress, but the current state of the law is that that child would be an American citizen.
To: SeekAndFind
Its not a hard question. If the kids are US citizens, they can’t be deported.
If the parents leave the country, though, obviously they will take their family with them. Why would they not? If you were deported from France, would you leave your kids there? Of course not. Stupid question.
