No kidding....
One would think it would have been her lungs, rather than her stomach, that would have been affected by this event. But, cancer is chaos. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind how it behaves sometimes.
I feel for her. I was in an elevator two blocks from Tower 1 when the first plane hit, and we felt it. What I emerged to was a war zone, replete with smoke, debris, shrapnel, and of course horrible pieces of human flesh that I still dream about. So many turned to drugs or alcohol or had wrecked lives or marriages who experienced it. It is PTSD as real and as impactful as those in combat. Rest in Peace, Marcy.
There was no other value judgment either expressed or implied, but some here can't resist flexing ther moral outrage muscles.
Agreed. I hope she found peace, and was welcomed into heaven.
Sorry! Just looked for a link to asbestos and the WTC and didn’t look too closely. The issue of all the cancer issues after 9/11 is very real though. Lots of firefighters are fighting mesothelioma right now.
Forgot??? Just as John Friggin Kerry,Bill Ayers, and many other Rats of today loudly rooted for Ho Chi Minh in the 60's many of them today root (sometimes silently) for the Religion of Pieces today.
And I'd bet the clothes on my back that Obola is one of them.
Her addictions probably didn’t help. But a lot of people there that day and for weeks after have been having health issues related to all the chemicals and junk in the air.
Just look at how many of the dogs that were working there for weeks, first looking for survivors and then remains, died of cancer or other odd diseases. Many had lifespans greatly reduced. One I read about was about two and died at age 5 when the normal lifespan of the breed is 10-15 years.
