Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens. But Cruz refused to answer it the way Megyn Kelly wanted him to. She accused him of dodging the question, but Cruz responded that the question that she and other mainstream media journalists want to ask is a distraction from actually fixing the problem of illegal immigration and then explained how to fix it.

It is a good argument to pursue. It is a very suspicious Article if it means that illegal entry offers freedom for perpetual baby dropping in order to game our system.
NO WAY do I believe the signers paved the way for an illegal INVASION to deliver their babies and the instantaneous citizenship results in all being forgiven and forgotten. No way.

The point is deportation is not the piece to focus on right now, deportation will not work until we have a secure border anyway because they can just come right back otherwise. So the only issue worth talking about right now is securing the border and how we do it. Once that is done, we can then focus on the question of what to do with those already here.
The media wants to ask about the people here are doing so only to to distract from the issue of securing the border.
This is like when a boat is leaking and taking in water, and you’re trying to plug the hole and somebody wants to ask about what to do with the water in the boat. Until the hole is plugged all other questions are irrelevant and meaningless.
Onyx! I actually enjoyed the back and forth on Don Lemon’s show! It was like, three conservatives and that obnoxious Maria Cordova, and Don Lemon was very civil and fair, and even flattering of Trump! I have kept them on ALL evening!

You do have a point and you attack the problem with the additional facts. Frankly, it’s a clearer answer than Cruz’ approach given tonight. But, I didn’t see it. I don’t help Megyn’s ratings by watching. heh, heh.
What he reportedly said, of course, did not include your nice example and dose of reality about ACLU court cases coming for every deportation. That in itself is a very decent prognosis that actually paints the clearer picture.
I was thinking that he was answering like a congressman and not enough as a president. Now I see why.
I’m still for TRUMP, but Cruz has a real future.

I suffered through watching CNN, tonight. Ugh. I’m going to start watching OAN via Amazon Fire. Sarah Palin is hosting this week, during Hannity’s time slot.
He is cool and cerebral isn’t he? I would want him to smack Megyn back as smartly and continually as she does her guests, which keeps viewers tuned in to watch the nightly blood bath she gives everyone.
It's not stupidity, it's that there was no such thing as illegal immigration when they passed the 14th so they didn't address it. It was drafted extremely broadly and now we're living with the unintended consequence.
With the exception of maybe the Chinese, immigrants were welcome and no one worried about their children becoming citizens. We were building what at the time was an underpopulated country by European standards.

He gave two approaches to ending it and said he supported both. He IS smart enough to know a constitutional amendment will not pass, although he is willing to try. Other approaches will almost certainly be rejected by the Supreme Court, probably in a 6-3 or 7-2 decision.
Anyone running for President, including Trump, needs to understand that.
That is called ruling with an iron fist, and it is following the law. No respect for the law brings anarchy. As we all witness every day in our department of injustice.
Maybe you should try a “caucus” designation? We’re all on the same page, in my humble one. Cruz is a keeper if our enthusiasm for the “FORCE” should ever have reason to crumble.
I love Trumps promises too but there is reality that the fight is not over with a Trump EO when precedence has already been set in millions of instances of unenforced law, 14th amendment or not. Cruz 2016

Cruz did what trump should have. He redirected the discussion to the real issues.
Trump can’t do that because he knows too little about those issues.
Deportation is not nor ever will be the issue, so the question was completely disingenuous.
When we deal with the real problems the illegals will again deport themselves as they have in the past.
Now its time for you to resign from the concern troll association.
