Ted Cruz TRUMPS Megyn Kelly on unfair question, says ‘I’m not playing the media’s game’
The Right Scoop ^ | 8/25/15 | staff

Posted on 08/25/2015 7:14:01 PM PDT by VinL

Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens. But Cruz refused to answer it the way Megyn Kelly wanted him to. She accused him of dodging the question, but Cruz responded that the question that she and other mainstream media journalists want to ask is a distraction from actually fixing the problem of illegal immigration and then explained how to fix it.

It was awesome.

Mac, this issue is NOT about Truckin’ and your apparently do not understand the subliminal force that Kelly wants her questions of any but her chosen few to be.

When you begin to get understanding, you might consider posting again with the profound knowledge that you have found discernment.

jonrick46, you’re not near as smart as Ted Cruz. And I don’t mean that in a harsh way because persons that are as smart as Ted Cruz are so rare you might as well give up trying to find one. But you can learn something and I will explain what you’re missing.

First, Ted Cruz knows completely that the 14th Amendment does not apply to anchor babies and he’s been saying that since he started running for office years ago.

Second, Ted is many steps ahead of you. Ted is thinking I know that immigration lawyers and pro-illegal lobbies and politicians have created a false LOOPHOLE in the law by claiming anchor babies are US Citizens. He knows WHAT the problems are, but he’s thinking ahead to HOW to solve the problem.

Someone asked him if he thought the Constitution should be amended and he answered correctly. He said no, it takes too long.

What he is now saying is that Congress should pass a law that anchor babies are not to be granted citizenship. Without doubt that law will end up in the Supreme Court. That’s when a clear ruling can be made regarding anchor babies are not citizens.

Donald Trump has been consulting with his lawyers and he arrives at the same conclusion. He says it’s legally possible to end birthright citizenship or anchor baby citizenship.

Donald and Ted are on the same page.

Cruz out-witted her, refusing to go down the rabbit hole— others are not as clever.

Well, Cruz certainly outwitted you.

His dodging and weaving only disappointed me.

I thought he was VP material, now I'm not so sure.

The parents must be deported?

And how is President Trump going to accomplish this?

If the children are deemed US Citizens, then you know as well as I do that the ACLU will step in on the child’s behalf and try to get the courts to halt deportations on some liberal basis, that the Courts will agree using no originalist logic whatsoever, and it’ll go right up to the SCOTUS where Anthony Kennedy and his 4 liberal buddies will put an interpretation into the 14th Amendment we know doesn’t exist but all of a sudden will and that it will be deemed cruel and unusual to separate the child from the parents and instead of deporting the child, the parents will be allowed to stay. Of course, while all this is being litigated there will be a stay on all related deportations meaning nothing will happen.

2 ways to fix this: Constitutional Amendment or New Congressional Law that’s strong enough to withstand a court challenge. Absent that, nothing is going to change.

Cruz is not afraid to answer the question. He’s setting a precedent by not playing the game the media wants to play.

We will have to agree to disagree.

I wanted to hear Cruz's answer to that question. Most Americans want to know what the politicians would do.

The singular reason Trump is so far ahead is that he is strong on the issue of illegal immigration. Cruz had the perfect opportunity to be bold and take a stand. His support would most likely have increase dramatically. Instead, he wimped out and gave a pathetically weak answer.

Playing the media games? That is really a bit cliche. He gave the answer he gave because deep inside I don't think he wants to deport anyone.

Cruz could not say what you wrote because, in the end, he is for 100% amnesty for all 40M + illegals.

Cruz is a pandering fraud.

Work for Jeb? Or for Christie?

Kelly asked Cruz the same question about the practical effects of revoking birth right citizenship that Trump was asked earlier in the day.

The contrast between Trump who answered the question forthrightly without hesitation and Cruz who attempted to prevaricate couldn’t be greater.

We really love you lying concern trolls here!

Cruz has a record, one that rebuts your every lie.

He has discussed the issues and made his points.

Unfortunately, all you’re interested in is lying.

But the problem with going the new law route.

Given the current make-up of the SCOTUS, what are they odds the 14th Amendment gets applied correctly?

I would guess the current make-up would be 5-4 in favor of ruling the 14th gives Anchor babies citizenship via the 4 liberal justices and Anthony Kennedy. That means there has to be changes (vacancies) on the Court before this could go forward. That could take years, at least beyond the 1st term of the next President depending on how many nominations to the Court they might get.

The question needs an answer because it involves so many illegals and anchor babies
***************8

Right, and so how many hypotheticals does that beget? How about the teen who is disabled and receiving special treatment only available in the USA? Or the mother dying of cancer, two months to live. Or Grandma, who has been living here 35 years?

How many of these questions should the candidate answer? Because, you know, they are never ending— limited only by Cruz’s clever rejoinder- “Look, everyone agrees with should secure the border— and in that we’re in agreement, let’s do that first. After that’s done, we can discuss the rest.”

Wow another liar!

Why do Trumpet trolls only seem to be able to lie?

Trump gets most of his answers from the answers that Cruz has given in other forums.

Sounds like she pitted Cruz against Trump by emphasizing Trump had already answered. His answer had been, “YES”.

Sorry to see that anyone watched this leftist operator (Megyn) scamming the Right, nightly. Now she is working over Cruz. LOL! When will conservatives give up being bounced around an hour a day by this poseur, at dinner time no less! Ha.

Trump is strong on the issue of illegal immigration?

Who knew?

From 2012:
http://dailycaller.com/2015/07/09/2012-flashback-donald-trump-said-gop-was-too-mean-spirited-towards-illegal-immigrants/

Trump was to the left of John Mcain 4 years ago, but now he’s magically to the right of Tom Tancredo. And what exactly changed from 4 years ago. All the problems of illegal immigration have been around for decades now. Yet Trump starts uttering a bunch of talking points that don’t jive with his previous statements, and you want to give him the benefit of the doubt but throw Cruz overboard?

Cruz is about securing the border via an all of the above approach (i.e. 90,000 reassigned IRS agents, drones, patrols, etc). Does a Wall make you feel better, ok they can build one, but what about the underneath tunnels? And what about the green card and other visitors that enter legally but overstay their welcome which is actually where the bulk of illegals come from? How’s a wall going to stop those people. Absent using a Logan’s Run Green-Card style bracelet, that’s still going to be a problem.

“”Trump gets most of his answers from the answers that Cruz has given in other forums.”””

BOOM!!!!

Glad someone else pointed this out. And for the record, Cruz isn’t the only one Trump rips off. He’s done it to the others as well.
