1860 redux?
Honestly, all I can see is utter chaos coming our way. People are angry and disgusted (and rightfully so) about may issues. Others are angry about things they have no right to be (e.g. clean shoots by police officers against black criminals). And now we might have a total of 23 candidates running for the nominations. And we might end up with four candidates running for president (1 - Biden or Hillary, 2 - Sanders as an independent, 3 - Trump as an independent, 4 - Republican nominee). This election could be a terrible mess and many Republicans might stay home out of disgust. Probably many Democrats too!
