How is this such a big deal/

When I lived in Cincinnati back in the sixties, we could get one hour delivery from Kentucky liquor stores.

If you're wondering, Ohio had those abominable state stores. And, under some obscure federal law, trade over the river between Cincinnati, OH and Covington or Newport, KY was not regulated as interstate commerce.

When I was up there last month for a funeral, I was surprised to find one of the “state” stores right inside a Giant Eagle grocery store. Separate cash register but at least didn’t require a separate stop. Not sure how widespread this is.
