EDIT: I have a hard time typing in a box.

First let me say you are a bummer.

By your logic, we should have thrown our hands in the air and said it was imposible to end slavery?
Likewise a wall.

“all the wonderful things you enjoy, not realising that it is those very riches that attract all these illegals in the first place!”

So, one of our biggest problems is we have to much? Are you a luddite?

“If you really want to stop the flow of illegals, you have to address the disparity in wealth and opportunity that creates the pressure for people to enter illegally... the capitalist solution of making Mexico a more attractive place.”

I would say the desparity is due to a corrupt government. Mexico can’t maintain a reliable train let alone compete with America.
Still, not our problem.

While America is still better than any place on earth we have our own ethical and financial mess staighten out. Although, we should be open to trade with Mexico.

I genuinely wish the hard working honest Mexicans good luck.
Make Mexico Great!
Maybe some of them will come back legally in the not to distant future?

As is often repeated around here. NOONE HERE IS AGAINST LEGAL IMMAGRATION.

I personally think there has been to much legal immigration. We need to stop all immigration for at least 20 years and sort out what we got.

You are putting words in my mouth.

Its not a problem that you have so much, (or at least, its a very nice problem to have), its just that one of the minor consequences of that happy state of affairs is a positive attraction to the have-nots of the world.

I would say the desparity is due to a corrupt government. Mexico can’t maintain a reliable train let alone compete with America. Still, not our problem.

I would agree, but although its Mexico's problem, they are making it your problem - because their citizens are flooding into the USA in response.
