California is the bread basket of the United States. We are headed for massive food inflation if California does not come out of this drought...

California got that way because of its temporary advantages. Other regions could serve as bread baskets too.

I’ve already noticed a sudden lack of quality and variety at the grocery store produce section...I assume its drought related. I view California as a harbinger of what the entire nation’s future will be: The urban areas have asserted their influence over the rural areas, and control the political, economic, and moral ‘tone’. Its too bad.

“California is the bread basket of the United States.”

Kali only ranks first place by revenue; however, in tons of food grown, it does not. Wine, which is an expensive “food” product, doesn’t really count as a “bread basket” product. Grapes and almonds are Kalis primary revenue drivers.

Kali also uses artificial means to grow food, including illegal alien labor. Prior to Kali many other States grew the food just fine, and will do so again.

Compared to other States, Kali is a major player but other States beat it hands down for food production in many areas.

Hay: Kali 2 millions tons - Colorado 8 million tons.
Corn: Kali 15 million bushels - Colorado 147 million bushels.
Wheat: Kali 33 million bushels - Colorado 180 million bushels.
