Starbucks ( SBUX -4.73% ) CEO Howard Schultz has called on baristas to be extra patient with customers on Monday, given the dramatic stock market swoon that no doubt has left countless coffee addicts anxious about the state of their retirement holdings.

I hope they take out their rage on these over-rated, over-roasted and over-priced coffee provider....
Their coffee is truly swill.....
Yes. They might not be able to pay their bills.
My coworkers at my last gig introduced me to StarBucks.
I found that I love their Caramel Machiados. YUM!
My former wife had to have a coffee in the morning, or she stood a good chance of getting a headache.
She introduced me to flavored creamers. Coffeemate Vanilla Caramel and Hershey’s Delight Chocolate Caramel are excellent when mixed. In eight ounces I put one teaspoon of the Vanilla Caramel. I also put in 7.5 ml of Chocolate Caramel. Then I add some sweetener to taste. Sometimes I add a bit of Reddi wip cream. Mmmmmmmmmmm...
This makes a great freshly brewed drink.
When brewing coffee for myself, I decided to make up lahrge batches, and put it in jars in the refrigerator, so I would always have some on hand. Worked great.
I’d take out 8 ounces and put it in the microwave for 2.25 minutes. Excellent.
Then one day I tried pouring some of the cold coffee in a cup, putting in my favorite ingredients and drinking it.
Whoa! It as very refreshing and seemed to taste even better. Man am I a happy camper.
I posted this, because others may want to try it.
Who needs StarBucks? What I am drinking now is very satisfying.
I am a Starbucks addict, I admit it; but, where I live (suburb of Seattle) Starbucks has raised prices on their coffee drinks about 3-4 times in about a year. Everytime they did, I thought, "okay what is my cut off price, when do I stop buying this stuff". Well, I came up with a personal ceiling of $4 for my 12 oz. mocha (12 oz of milk with a shot of coffee and a couple of squirts of chocolate). Pretty basic drink, only one more basic would be a plain latte.
About a month ago, they did it. They raised a 12 oz drink to $4; so, I went cold turkey. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
Don’t know how often or how much the price went up here, but they often burn the coffee.
:-/
their coffee is so bad. make your coffee/chocolate milk at home. keep a pitcher of strong black coffee in the fridge, along with milk and a bottle of Hershey’s special dark. milk + coffee + chocolate + microwave= mocha latte.
hmmm sounds like a plan for me too LOL!

StarSchmucks has grown too big for its breeches.
If any SB folks are reading - just serve coffee and be quiet.
No amount of cream and sugar makes their horrible coffee drinkable.
It’s a giant cup of burnt.
I only see my barista for in depth race conversations . . .
Why would I spill my guts to a newbie barista shrink at Starbucks when Joe the bartender down at our local watering hole already has that job so well covered?
Could not agree more. I own SBUX stock but many of these “initiatives” are simply moronic.
My stress at Starbucks usually stems from a screwed up order.
And everybody knows that what people under stress need is excessive caffeine and sugar, right?
Another distraction to prevent customers from noticing regular real 10-15% price increases...
This guy actually thinks he is important.
I used to go to a coffee cart in our local mall, years ago, run by a very nice young man. We once had a conversation about Starbucks and he told me that they purposely burn the beans from which the coffee was made. This is their signature. So, they don't "often" burn their coffee; they always burn their beans, from which the coffee is made.
Buyer’s remorse for paying $5 for a cup of coffee would stress me out.
That is what a dark roast is. scorched beans
You see! Good old All American ingenuity at work. Never fails.
= :^)
